An interesting Karoo escape
Pros:

Loved the traditional Karoo atmosphere and design of the establishment.
Staff were absolutely superb!
Breakfast and coffee were unsurpassed and delicious.
We received scrumptious homemade rusks in our room to enjoy with our morning coffee on the stoep, looking across the Karoo landscape at the Swartberg Mountains.

Cons:

Our room, albeit beautiful, was riddled with mosquitoes. The hotel did provide repellent, but was unfortunately empty.
The shower head was not secured, and fell off when showring.
There were a number of power outages throughout the night. Being a warm summer evening, the room was a bit uncomfortable for the periods when the airconditioning was off due to the outages.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay with beautiful views, friendly service and superb food.
Pros:

The location is beautiful, the old charm is great and the staff was wonderful, breakfast was a feast and supper was superb. Yolandi the manager was awesome and assisted us with a friendly smile, she makes the place a wonderful destination.

Little Karoo gem

This little town and hotel is a little haven. Peaceful and a trip down memory lane.

What is there not to like... it was the most cosy and perfectly equipped stay away from the buzz. We had a sleepover for only one night during our road trip, but the rest and memories we have will forever be part of our story!

Beautifully renovated Victorian hotel. Situated in the middle of nowhere. Lovely staff and good food. Very good value for money.
