We only had lunch here!
This place is really well set along a bit of a busy road, but with a nice terrace and friendly service. The food did tast very well and we enjoyed our beer and all.
Two items need to be posted here though. Two items that might need some improvement. First of all, the outside lights were on during a sunny day???
Secondly, the lunch plate with all kind of things, like soup, kroket en breads did not have a red line. I ate four different meals, instead of co-inciding coktail of flavours. A bit weird combinations.. Also the service did not know anything of beer. We asked for a light beer, but the recommendations were heavy beers often dark. We asked two different waiteresses but both went into the very different direction with their idea of light. Maybe a drinks course would be good?
The Corona measures were very well taken care of: a special table was set for putting the orders on. Top!
The atmosphere and the service are friendly. The room was restyled in a sober way and provided with many sockets. The room was spacious and equipped with a great bed. The shower was good too, just a bit tight. I estimate 60 by 60 centimeters. Great breakfast. The shower may be more spacious and a desk or something similar in the room would be handy. The service was not only friendly but also a bit distant. The hotel is very close to the famous museum Kröller Möller and very close to the entrance of the park de Hoge Veluwe.
Staff members were very nice and fast, we could check in earlier than the given time, location is amazing (bakery, national park and supermarket all around the corner).
Rooms were very old fashion styled, food was not very diverse and to my opinion a bit over priced.
Wonderful evening and dinner with friends. We really enjoyed the food, terrace, ambiance and nice and friendly personnel. Had to wait a little long until the food came but it was tasty and fresh. I had salmon and asparagus one tip for the cook next time have salmon with skin the one without skin is a little dry when cooked.
Nice terrace, less busy thAn restaurants in the centre. Lunch was ok, but no brown bred. Omelette special was good with a lot of cheese, meat and onion. Dinner is Also possible here. Service is good and friendly.
We stayed over the weekend in this lovely situated Hotel. Very nice location. Directly next to the entrance of the National Park Hoge Veluwe. We had a nice stay, excellent breakfast and evening dinner. The room however could do better. The curtains were not blinded so the day began early for us. The bathroom could do with a restyling.
The Room windows could not close properly so your coudl hear the road next to the hotel clearly. The rooms are not sound proof!
But overall good hotel for a reasonable price.
Came for dinner on a Saturday night. Were told the kitchen would close soon (it was 20:20) and that there was no table free - with 5 empty tables around us. When we asked why they ssid we should have reserved and there were others wsiting. It smelled of Brussels sprouts and the peiople were just not engaged to provide service.
Fresh country hotel ready for cyclists ... After long day of cycling around Hoge Veluwe Park and Kruller Muller Museum great hotel. Very quiet and plenty of nature to watch over breakfast - great surroundings. Recently decorated - balcony nice to sit outside.
Really enjoyed our stay I here. Family owned and operated, the entire staff was very friendly. They serve a lunch on a 3 tiered tray that you really need to try. I don't recall what it was called but it included mini burgers and various finger foods. Dinner was also very tasty. The rooms are comfortable and well laid out. Really don't have anything negative to say.
The rooms are very good value for the price they charge. The restaurant us very cosy and the prices are ok for what you get. The quality is high standard of Nederland. We however were disappointed when we got ten bill at the end of a 2 nights stay with 2 diners. The wines are listed on the internet at 17 Euro a bottle, but we were charged 20 euro for the white wine and even 40euro for 3 carafes (1/2L) of rose !!! Conclusion : if you go , always ask for the drink list before ordering. We certainly recommend the hotel with his large breakfast and the location just near the entrance of the park. Note also that the hotel offers a large parking.
This is a nice basic hotel with friendly, helpful staff.
The hotel is at a 20 minute walking distance from one of the three entrances of the Hoge Veluwe Park. At the park entrance you can get on a free white bike to get along.
The room was basic with a small desk, small TV and good working free Wi-Fi internet.
In front of the hotel is a sometimes busy road so ask for a room at the back when you can.
Breakfast was very nice with a breakfast buffet with cereals, juices, fruit, yogurt, etc. and bacon and eggs.
The hotel has a restaurant with a good menu and superb outside dining, weather permitting.
We just passed this Hotel and decided to have lunch here. The menu is very basic, ("Twaalfuurtje", uitsmijter, kroket met brood). I had the "Uitsmijter" = eggs sunny side up with ham, cheese and mushrooms. Very well made, with fresh mushrooms and a bit of fresh salad on the side. Nothing spectacular, but nothing wrong with it either. Service is friendly and efficient. Good place for a lunch stop. The restaurant could do with a touch up to make it more modern.
This hotel is conveniently located near the edge of Hoge Veluwe National Park. The room was large and clean. We ate lunch at the restaurant and it was so good that we decided to also eat dinner there. My only suggestion to this hotel is to provide wifi to the rooms.
We wanted to visit the Kroller Muller museum and choose this hotel. Caught the train from Amsterdam to Apeldorn, and then the 108 bus. Was easy, though the walk was a little longer than expected from the bus stop (we had suitcases), and it started to rain. A helpful local picked us up. The hotel is great, close to the park, a good price, clean and good sized room. Breakfast was great,as was the menu. Recommended.
