Tolle Lage, ideal für den 3 Whisky Path, breakfast
Bar etwas laut
Esta divinamente decorado me encanto
me gusto todo
The staff at reception and bar were exceptional. Due to Calmac’s diverted sailing, the staff were incredible in understanding that we had to leave before breakfast but organised a packed lunch for us.
The single room was small and the bathroom even smaller and the TV wouldn’t work. The price of the room was extortionate. No dinner available in the hotel was a further let down for the price paid.
Friendly staff, good breakfast and location.
Shower not great - took a long time to heat up.
Paid extra despite searching for dog friendly properties asked to pay an additional amount upon arrival
Location was great and room was big.
We were on the second floor and there wasn't a lift which meant four flights of stairs with heavy bags etc. There was no towel rail in the bathroom to put towels.
The public garden outside and the overall location. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Will stay again.
Location and view of port is excellent. Great to have choice of a few good bars nearby too. Breakfast was very good too. Staff very welcoming and friendly.
It is located in Port Ellen so it is convenient to visit Laphroaig,Lagavulin and Ardbeg.
The wall is so thin and the rooms are tight next to each other so I could hear all the noise from next door. Other customers were talking loud in the Lounge late at night and I could hear them. Unfortunately could not sleep well at all.
Room pleasant but small - one member of staff very helpful re. e-bike charging. Nice outlook over harbour from front of building. Characterful place.
We were in Room 2 which turned out to be right over the bar which was noisy until late. When this was noted the next morning the lady on duty just said 'oh yes, rooms two and three are quite noisy - I'll feed that back', but they obviously new that and despite us having booked months in advance we still got put in that room. No apology even. The breakfast staff member was completely disinterested. Also as it was a Tuesday evening only one restaurant was open in Port Ellen and they only told us about this when we asked where they could recommend - obviously it would have been good to know in advance given the local whisky tourism and foreign groups etc. - luckily the owner of the restaurant (Sea Salt) took pity on us and squeezed us in between first and second sitting.
Brilliant location, helpful staff
Too expensive for what it offers
The room was well presented and very clean
The bathroom was clean and everything worked
Breakfast was self service (except the hot food) and was excellent
Not good value for money as we were charged a rate befitting a good quality hotel but only got a bed and breakfast!
Full breakfasts were wonderful.
