Very dirty and haunted
This was the best stay so far in our round trip from Australia to Indonesia to Singapore. The location was spectacular, the hotel was clean and new, and the pool was great. By the standard of Nusa Penida, it was conveniently located next to a restaurant called Cactus for great food. The owner, Luh Aple, was extremely kind to arrange for pick up from the jetty, take us around to see all the sites, and drop us back to the jetty, all for reasonable cost. She is amazing.
Breakfast could have been better. But visiting Nusa Penida is about the beauty of nature and not food.

the toilet didn’t work and some facilities didn’t work good

Definitely NOT 4 star. Unless you like:
* salt water showering
* unclean rooms
* unclean linen
* Rooms not serviced, had to ask for towels, toilet paper etc
* staff here spent their days lazing poolside on their cell phones, smoking cigarettes
* staff could not speak any English and were in untidy clothes. Unidentifiable as staff, were they staff, or staffs friends 🤷🏻♀️
Not once were we asked if we were ok or needed anything . This is a backpackers in a beautiful location
The location, which is stone-throw away from Cactus Beach Club.
The misrepresentation. The property is poorly maintained. The neighbor has roosters, which will keep you awake from 1am. The workers can not communicate in English. The pool and the garden are unkempt. Some furniture in our villa was broken and there was no dinner table as advertised. The walls have hair-line cracks and need to be repainted. The aluminum door to our villa had a damaged lock-set, and this resulted in unbearable noise as the ocean wind gushed against it. We had to use stones (found next to the door) as stabilizers. We found one of the Porters sleeping in the kitchen area.🤮

The villa was clean and the staff is amazing
The breakfast was simple only 2 egg and juice but very fresh and excellent

We rented a scooter wich was dirty and not the metter was not working
I stayed in Villa Argia for two nights by myself.
The place looks like very much like a villa in Italy,
the rooms have a big sliding door window where at 6am you can see the most amazing sunrise and at night you can hear the ocean.
When I booked i read in the reviews that there is a beach club next door, this was my main source of food as there’s was anything close as I wasn’t renting a motorbike so i was walking.
(something that you should know, there’s not street lights so if you walk to the beach club, that is a couple of meters far, take a light)
Breakfast was ok, maybe I was the only guest but they let me have whatever on the manu.
I am a single woman traveling solo. I went to bali and in the middle of my trip I went to Nusa Penida with high expectations. I booked 2 nights at Villa Argia, with two nights spare to stay in the place if I like it or go somewhere else.
First, went i got to the accommodation, there was none to greet me, after my taxi driver yelled a couple of times someone came, the receptionist.
At checked in I was asked many uncomfortable times if I was by myself, followed it by an annoying giggle, yes I answered many times. The receptionist made me feel uncomfortable for being by myself, he offered his services of motorbike tour and gave me his whatsapp, and asked my for my Instagram (which is private).
After my first night and searching for tours I decided to go in the motorbike with the receptionist, thinking I will be safe as he works at the place I stay. The island tours offer two main tours, one side or the other of the island, I asked him to take me to one, and the next day I was going to do the other one. He was very chatty all the way asking me questions about how much a house cost in Australia. We went to 4 different places and he took photos with my phone. The last stop was a beach where I went swimming. when i came back from the water he offered me to take some more photos but then turned to take his phone and asked for a photo, I politely said yes but he took me from my waist and the asked for a kiss. I got very angry and asked him to take me back to the villa, next day I left.
Couple of weeks ago I received a facebook friend request from him, of course he has my full name and email from my booking.
I do not recommend this place for woman solo travelers
There’s not fridge so your water will be warm all day.
