Rooms spacious
Only down fall was the pillows very lumpy
A great breakfast on offer and a very friendly staff member who greeted us and checked us in.
Tea and biscuits in the room was a nice touch.
The room is a little dated, more so the bathroom. Comfortable enough for a short stay though.the pillows are a little too big to sleep with 2 but not big enough to use just one.
Room was fine, food and drink fine, staff excellent and friendly
Shower over bath needs non slip in tub as I have slipped getting in. Could have been dangerous.
Great large room , comfy bed , friendly staff , large car park , free wi-fi , good food.
Nothing
Reception said dinner reservation made online gave a 20% discount. Staff in the restaurant knew nothing about it !
My room was quiet, clean and comfortable. it also has a great view of the local countryside.
My evening meal was lovely and the staff do go the extra mile to serve you very well and to make you feel very welcome. I have a great nights sleep and was very satisfied with my stay.
I liked everything.
Convenient location and restaurant on site. Clean rooms. Great parking. Comfy bed.
This is the 4th time we've stayed here within the last year or so, clearly we usually have a great experience. This time, mmm, looks like some things have slipped - The bathroom is looking pretty dated with mouldy bath silicone, old taps etc. The right hand bedroom window would not shut, its broken/damaged (and it faced onto the carpark - most of their other overnighters, tradesmen - were leaving at about 6am so was noisy. Breakfast and our evening meals contained sausages clearly recently changed, and they were dreadful - previously really great). Several other even more minor issues but overall I think we'll be trying elsewhere next trip up that way - Shame, we had found a little gem.
It was convenient and extremely reasonably priced. A nice pub, nice staff, clean, warm, friendly and decent food.
Nothing, it was great value for money, a former premier inn.
It was very functional and the room was warm and spacious
Room needed a refresh but at the price level was reasonable
It was a lovely atmosphere and cozy room
I waited for 20 minutes with nobody at reception until a lady came. She was lovely though. That night I asked for a table and another lady said yes I’ll bring you a menu….she forgot. I ordered a black coffee also and that took an age to come.
Following night I ordered drinks and the lady forgot one!
I understand they were short staffed and the staff were wonderful but a lot seemed to be put on their shoulders.
Lady at breakfast was great too. Nice breakfast
I would strongly advise against staying at this hotel unless you can guarantee one of the refurbished rooms and have no intention of using the bar/restaurant. Our experience was so poor that a full refund was issued. There was a horrendous smell of drains in the toilets at pub and restaurant, as well as in our hotel room. The property is extremely outdated, with missing tiles, cracks in the walls and render, and a general lack of maintenance. During our visit, there was even water coming through the restaurant ceiling. Overall, a very disappointing and unpleasant stay.
Good location, lovely staff
Very outdated, smelled weird, food wasn’t great
Accommodation was basic, clean and where we were it was quiet.
Food good in the evenings
Breakfast choice good but some cooked options where over cooked.
The chaos, always something wrong.
Ladies toilets were terrible
They had no end of problems with leaks causing buckets and towels around the place.
We were told we couldn't have lunch yet they were still serving others.
Most of staff were good but some had the attitude of not caring and looked like it was the last place they wanted to be.
The staff and on duty manager, we're lovely and friendly. Always had time to make conversation, ensuring we were happy and everything was to our satisfaction. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff knew all their regular customers, and made conversation with everyone.
Strong smell of weed on approaching the room, spoke to the staff regarding it. They are aware and try to charge the guests doing this but are up against it.
The bathroom was in need of modernisation.
