I liked the very central location and the very friendly staff. The room was very modern and very clean. There was a restaurant to have your evening meal. There was no breakfast available but in my case it did not matter.
The room was on the second floor and no lift. It was okay as did not have much luggage but had I had there would have been a lot of steps.

No parking, had to try an park on main street which was difficult as everywhere had double yellow lines. Also did not do breakfast.
The staff member who greeted me on arrival at thr pub was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. Easy to find in the middle of Stranraer.
I can't say I enjoyed my stay, for a few reasons. There was a heat wave, and no fan or air conditioning in the room. It was unbearably hot. I know there are very rarely heat waves in Scotland, but would suggest the hotel purchases some fans! The other things I didn't enjoy were the location, in terms of having to enter and check in through a quite depressing pub. As it was a hot day, people were quite drunk and lary when I arrived to check in. Finally, a smaller thing but the shower was so small it was quite hard to not nudge the tap when you turned around. And nobody cleaned and replaced the towels, which I would really have benefitted from.
The room was bright & airy. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom had a nice clean shower.
The seagulls were a nuisance.

Spacious rooms in a great location, with restaurants, grocery stores and public transport just a short walk away. The beds were comfortable, everything was spotless, and the staff were incredibly friendly!
There was some street traffic noise, but it quieted down considerably after 11 p.m.
I slept real good, that is the main thing. Also the food at the restaurant was very good. It was very conveniant to get a bus from there to the ferry.
Very clean tidy hotel. Great value for money. Comfortable nights sleep. What more could you ask for. Will definitely be back.
