Location lovely
Pros:

Location

Cons:

Was in room 4 at back of pub next to bins - and whilst I understand that bins need emptying , the 5.30am wake up call by this necessary service should be noted by staff when allocating rooms to guests, so guest can be be allocated rooms away from this early wake up

Disappointed in general.
Pros:

Location.

Cons:

Have had previous stays that we enjoyed but seems in general to be going downhill. Needs improvement maintenance and cleaning. Dirty wine glasses on three occasions. Bar closing time of 10pm. We were locked out of hotel with no emergency contact method.

Tolle Lage und Ambiente
Pros:

One of the best Adresses to stay in Edinbrugh
Pros:

We had a most wonderful experiance. The Staff is phenomenal and super accomedating, everyone! Food is amazing and the Hotel aswell as the surrounding area lovely. Couldnt have booked anything better for what we wanted! The Trainstation is in walking distance. (roughly 10 Minutes) One should mind that there is a some steepness involved when heading back to the station from the hotel ;) It is three stops to Edinburgh Waverly (recommend a weekly pass for the train) and the train is coming by rather frequently. Its calm and well connected and as mentioned the staff have hearts of gold, always willing to give you tipps and a helping hand.

Thank you so so much!

Cons:

We first got booked into a room that had a few issues. But everyone made sure we could switch as soon as possible and what a switch it was! The new Room was perfect for us and everything was well up to our expectations and more.

Great location with fantastic view and character features
Pros:

The location was lovely on the Forth River with fantastic views of the bridge. The parking facilities were plentiful and at the back of the property adding away from the roadside. The property has lots of character. The heating is very responsive and easy to control and the shower was lovely.

Cons:

The room and bathroom could do with a little bit of updating including double glazing.
