The Swan is adequate for a night or two.
Pros:

The staff were great and the location excellent. The dog was particularly attentive.

Cons:

I didn't read the description properly and for £83 a night I expected my room to have a bathroom and toilet. The shared one was fine and clean. I didn't hear that I had to order breakfast the night before and I returned to the Swan after closing time and had to get in via the fire escape and an until corridor where I met the aforementioned dog, who was, I'm fairness, just doing his job. I was allowed into the equally dark passageway to the landing by one of the staff who was still there. The scaffolding was s bit of an eyesore but that's not a complaint. The Swan was adequate for one night.

Pros:

On arrival, we received a warm welcome from the staff and offered a secure store for our ebikes.
We enjoyed our evening meal in the bar, and breakfast was good too, everything to a high standard. There was a very warm, friendly atmosphere overall, and the Inn was a meeting place for many local residents. We would recommend the Swan and look forward to returning again for another cycling trip.

Well worth a stay

Für eine Nacht war es okay, für einen längeren Aufenthalt würde ich es nicht empfehlen.
Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr fein. Die Lage zentral gelegen.

Cons:

Das ganze Hotel wirkte etwas schmuddelig, von der Ausstattung und auch vom Geruch her. Es war viel los, laute Musik, was nicht sehr erholsam war. Das Personal war hingegen freundlich und nett.

A great locals pub to crash for a night

Great place to stay and if im in the area working again id defo stay here.
Pros:

The staff at this location were brilliant.
Room was really comfy and everything worked which isn't always the case - TV , Bathroom , bed all OK.
The food served in the bar was great value and good quality.

Fabulous location! We were warm and slept well. The breakfast was epic!

Nicely presented room in grade 2 listed Swan pub - breakfast was nice - location on High street - Good band played on Saturday evening

The room was comfortable

Cons:

The Staff, both the Landlord and the Landlady were abusive towards me, i am in contact with legals as a result. I was minding my own business and i was illegally requested to leave through NO FAULT OF MY OWN and lies from external aggravators. I can prove my innocence and intend or suing as i was kicked out onto the street, which i had to spend a night on with disability with NO room for discussion or rectification
