We enjoy staying here and feel safe.
Pros:

We had a nice big room with a refrigerator ' It was our 4th stay and this room was by far the best we have had.

I loved it and will stay there again!
Pros:

I love the feel of the place. I felt as if I were in a 60's neighborhood. It wasn't noisy at all, I appreciate that there is a pool and a restaurant.

I loved the vibe....the mid-
modern 60s vibe...was everything right

Loved the carport for every room
..accessibility to my car was crucial since I had my dog with me...
I loved the grounds
...all the grass areas...the mini golf course ...the bathroom was vintage in the best way
..
Loved the restaurant and the attentive ness of the staff....the semi formal dining room and staff was really so old school. The waiter jackets and all the tables were in a way that guests were served from the proper side and removed done from proper side as well....
I dont look for that necessarily...but appreciated that it was done this way here.
The pool was like a palm springs set...so cool.
The place had some wear to it...as if it was existing beyond its heyday...but again I appreciated that....it was clean and stylish and such a nostalgic vibe...
On my way back to United States...i will be staying here again.
Staff was excellent ...front desk as well as restuarant

Bad, just baaad
Pros:

It has a faded grandeur that faded too far. Its only benefit is location.

Cons:

I didn’t like that they allow stray dogs on the grounds that snatch food off plates. I didn’t like that the power was off for hours when they said minutes. I didn’t like ANYTHING that came out of the restaurant kitchen whether they had lights or not. Rather than stay there again, I’ll drive at night in Mexico.

Cross country drive for me, from Chiapas to La Frontera Tex/Mex.
Pros:

also friendly, helpful staff. After many hours driving just so nice to relax . . . close to downtown Matehuala for banking, grocery shopping, gasoline filling, etc. Pleasant walk around the Central Parque Cathedral area.

Cons:

nothing comes to mind. The Las Palmas Midway Inn is a great stop for my north/south and south/north travels in Mexico.

We have stayed at Las Palmas for over 20 years. It is a reliably good experience and restful stay.
Pros:

Location. Cleanliness. Helpfulness of staff. Security for our car. Pool.
