We overall enjoyed our stay
Pros:

Staff lovely and friendly
Facilities nice rooms clean

Cons:

Some attention to details needed like clean cutlery with no finger marks, some lightbulbs missing, ants nest by tables in restaurant, cask beers not well kept and staff not aware when going off

A disgrace. Didn't stay as they cancelled the booking on the day.

Cons:

The Oatlands Chaser told us that the room wasn't now available as we were driving there from Manchester on the day.
They must overbook rooms and then cancel some on the day with some lame excuse. We were glad in the end because we managed to book a much nicer hotel. We also discovered (because other relatives did stay there) that they don't have a lift, so would have been impractical, as we are not very mobile. So, don't ever book this place otherwise you could find yourself without a room at all.

Wonderful base of our girlie plans.
Pros:

I've stayed here twice previously, so this was a deliberate choice. Everything was superb. Cleanliness, facilities, food, staff, everything. I only have one "criticism" which totally cannot be helped and this was the temperature in the room! It was a lovely hot, sunny couple of days and there is no air conditioning; so the room was hot.

Cons:

There is nothing, the entire place is amazing. We had 1 evening meal and both breakfasts there. Wonderful food, great service and lovely atmosphere.
There are not many days in the UK when you need air conditioning, so I'm only mentioning this as it was a factor. Yes the room was really hot, but I've stayed here before and slept perfectly at just the right temperature. This was just external factors that couldn't be helped. It will not put me off staying again.

Nice location but attention to detail in the rooms is lacking.

Food was pretty good and nice garden area - room was nice and large - free parking!

Did ‘what it said on the tin’. Exceeded my expectation and would stay again.
Pros:

Well presented, pleasant & helpful staff, decent menu food was great and reasonable value.

Lovely place, lovely staff. Recommend.
Pros:

Lovely place, nicely done up and good standard of accommodation. Room was a good size with good facilities, shower was clean and lovely. We had a meal there too and that was really very good.

Cons:

We stayed in a heatwave and there’s no air con being an old building. But a good size fan helped- and to be fair is no worse than being at home!

Good stay very friendly staff and great food property was not far from local amenities and good base for what we wanted
Pros:

The bedroom was big and comfortable and very clean the en-suite bathroom was clean with great shower the property also did very nice food

OK but not as good as previous stay
Pros:

Friendly staff and breakfast and evening meals very good

Cons:

Unfortunately room and inn looking rather tired but renovations are apparently on the way. Still enjoyed our stay there though even with a hole in the toilet basin!!!

Pleasant but noisy and a long walk to the room with a hard bed.
Pros:

The staff are all very friendly. The room was large and a pleasant addition to have an a/c unit. Room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom, the shower was excellent too. Breakfast offered was a good choice and very tasty. I ate dinner in the restaurant and, as I know from previous visits, it was delicious food.

Cons:

The bed for me was far too hard - I know this is personal choice, room was big enough to have a table in the room, which would have been nice. The ac unit started making a squeaky noise on the 2nd night and then the cleaner started cleaning the patio which was outside the room at 5 in the morning and scraped the chairs across the ground which was very annoying. It was also such a long walk to the room, upstairs, along the corridor, through another door, more stairs, more doors and another corridor.
