Lovely staff, delicious food and very comfortable room.
Nothing.
Beautiful building
Brown rust look g mark on the duvet cover but didn’t spoil our stay just needed pointing out.
George Bar and its staff are good
Stunning room with unusual feature window in the bathroom, which was huge. Separate living area - a pleasant surprise.
Ambience and location
Superb location and hotel : excellent value for money especially the feature bedroom : staff very attentive
It was very cold due to draft in dining room and we had to ask to be moved
Very friendly young staff, good breakfast and a lovely bar area. The whole hotel is fascinating and we loved the grounds too.
The choice of beers was not great.
If you get a G&T it comes in a nice glass, if you get a pint of beer it comes in something you would get in Weathespoons
It needs a good clean.
The mirror in reception was dirty when we got there and still dirty the next day when we left.
We were going to eat till we saw 4 people send their food back, so went to the local pub instead.
Beautiful location and building. Staff were friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast was fabulous.
The cleaning staff need to be more proactive, cleanliness was not the best, not bad enough that I wouldn't stay again but needs more attention.
Stunning, atmospheric building with history and character
Nothing
Gorgeous estate. So much to do of an evening with the games room on site.
Lovely restaurant with excellent menu options. Our room was extremely specious and immaculate.
The hotel was absolutely stunning and looked even better in reality than on the photos of the website. A trip up the Bell Tower was an added bonus. Staff were all courteous and the hotel and amenities were exceptionally well kept and the history of the building had been kept. It was like staying in a National Trust Property. Would definitely stay there again and ideal for anyone wanting to stay just off the M5 (Junction 7).
We ate dinner in the restaurant on the night of our arrival. Whilst the food was very tasty, the portion size was rather small and quite expensive for what you received. Having said that, the experience of dining in such an amazing restaurant was worth the experience. I particularly enjoyed my dessert of salted caramel icecream, followed by the Limoncello liquor.
The property is very grand and impressive but so large it’s collected dust in places. Our bedroom was large and very comfortable.
We booked for two adults but only given one bath towel which was annoying. At breakfast we had to get staff attention to place our order but my husband only received half of his order.I had to ask staff to replenish the water at drinks station.I saw staff check on others a few times however they made little such effort with us.It might be a hard picked hotel but the service we received didn’t reflect this.in fact I was made to feel invisible.
