Overall it was a comfortable and satisfactory stay.
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel for a night and had a fairly good overall experience. The staff were kind enough to warm up some lentil soup we had with us, which we really appreciated.

Cons:

The location was decent, though it was in a residential area, which we hadn’t expected. It’s also a bit far from Edinburgh city center, but we got it at a reasonable price, so that balanced things out. Our room was on the ground floor, so the views weren’t great, but overall, it was a comfortable and satisfactory stay.

Pros:

The Garvock is the most wonderful hotel in which to stay. Always the warmest of welcomes, the hospitality, comfort, food and ambience is second to none. A most fabulous stay.

Very clean and comfortable
Pros:

Super clean, super comfortable, quiet, staff were lovely. I really appreciated the complimentary glass bottled water which was replenished daily (small detail but meaningful to me). Honestly couldn’t fault anything about this hotel, I woke up happy and fully rested every morning. 10/10, would book again :)

The hotel had a lovely homely atmosphere and the food was delicious.
Heating and hot water very efficient.
Ample parking, easy walking distance to town, once we discovered the more pleasant walk through the park

The lighting in the bedroom was rather dim, could do with either stronger bulbs or more lamps.
