Hotel Karlo Kastle - Paharganj - New Delhi

Fotos haben nichts mit dem aktuellen Zustand zu tun, sehr heruntergekommen, schmuddelig, schmutzig, unmotiviertes Personal, viel zu teuer, Essen konnte man nur auf das Zimmer bestellen.

The hotel is very dirty as are the rooms.
Location felt unsafe

I saw a bug crawl across the head board. It wasn’t clean and it felt dirty. Left after five hours because I wasn’t happy with it.

I am not a fan of bad reviews but sometimes people need Unfortunately, everything around the hotel is working against them.
Location wise, the hotel is generally central and close to the train station but the street it is on is filthy, stinky, messy and didn’t feel safe. The alley the hotel is on has a public urinal right in the middle of it, you can probably vision the rest.

The hotel itself is very old and dated and so are the rooms. The trip advisor and Google images are misleading. The rooms were very dirty and in great need of total repair, from uncomfortable beds and pillows, linens with holes and stains, a sink where water magically drip on the floor when turned on. The AC wasn’t working at all and for water you needed to move a bucket and shower practically on top of the toilet.
There was also no toilet paper.
The hotel was loud until late in the night, there was a glass window above the door with no curtain which means that bright light came in from the hallway.

I think you get the picture, there are a few other hotels in the neighborhood that might be better or pick a completely different neighborhood.

I would never come here with kids/family and to make my point, despite paying, I payed for another night in another hotel

Very disappointed. The listing gave the impression of a comfortable, reasonably equipped hotel with basic amenities included. In reality, the experience fell well below that expectation.
For example:
- There were no basic toiletries provided, including shower gel.
- The advertised breakfast and dinner were extremely limited (essentially a single dish choice) and served at very restrictive and impractical times, which was not made clear in the listing.
- There were building works in the same floor and I felt observed/unsafe coming in/out. The sockets wouldn't work (I was on the first floor, for reference)

The overall environment and condition of the property did not align with the photos or description presented on Booking.com. Including mould in my room. Had these been accurately described, I would not have booked the property in the first place. I had to relocate to another hotel immediately to ensure a basic level of comfort and suitability for my stay. Furthermore, when I complained to the manager, they simply and rudely replied 'it's a non refundable booking'.

Nothing
