My new favorite hotel
Pros:

Mahons is a lovely hotel with genuine and friendly staff and is a welcome change from franchise hotels where we were greeted with warmth and personality from the staff.

The bar area and indeed the hotel itself is full of interesting collections of antiques and memorabilia and I spent hours looking around at all the different peculiarities.

Service was great, room was spacious and clean and I loved every minute

Cons:

That I didn't have time on my itinerary to stay longer!

Excellent location and facilities for a couple of nights stay
Pros:

The room was spacious and spotless. Plenty of towels and hot water. Tea and coffee making facilities. Places to hang coats. Able to open the window if needed. Bath toiletries provided. Excellent free parking.

Cons:

Lots of stairs so not suitable for everyone but it was fine for us (room 223). Nowhere to hang wet towels.
