We've been all over the world and this was refreshing.
Pros:

breakfast was great with a 100 pesos pp for upgrading to a buffet which was more like a lunch!
One wall of the room was glass with amazing views of all local volcanoes including Popocatepetl.
there is a zip line over the lake on the premises together with a walk-through zoo which was great for interacting with continental animals for both children and adults. Whether a couple or a family, this is a great place for at least 4 nights.

Cons:

Maybe a LARGER sign for Hacienda Panaoia though the Google directions were perfect.

Pros:

Chosen the location due to distance to Gratas de Tolantongo. The only reason.

Cons:

The Staff charged 60 $ more than the price provided by booking.com, saying the reason is to cover advert expenses to booking.com

The payment with credit cards is very unwilling, thay say that extra fee of 10% is obligatory charged.

Our room was pacted with 3 large beds even thought we ordered two single, thus no free space left, no wordrobe to put stuff.

The yard with swimming pool was full of construction debris and rubbish.

At the end after our stay the booking has been cancelled by the hotel, I expect in order to avoid paying fee to booking.com for its services.

Not recommended at all.
