Pros:

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. The Manager and his staff were really lovely, caring, friendly and enthusiastic.
They made our stay unforgettable. The manager organised everything for us and even went buying Mango 15km further away for our juices.
We did aswell the safari through the hotel, which was really nice and a good price.
Generally said we had a great time in this beautiful hotel with a nice pool and absolutely great staff. Recommend it to everyone visiting the area. It's a beautiful and relaxing place.

Amazing room and atmosphere, clean and next to the beach
Pros:

In terms of decoration and atmosphere, this was the best hotel we had in our trip. Very nicely made, the room was spacious whereas the bathroom was open air which added a very relaxing vibe. We also made use of their laundry service which was great. Very close to the beach and local shops/ restaurants.

Cons:

They didn’t have a POS and there was a shortcut which back and forth with the payment but ultimately they resolved it and we managed to pay by card.

Pros:

C'était super ! Entouré de végétation. Les singes viennent vous voir sur la terrasse ! On a même vu un varans. L'emplacement est parfait.
Le personnel présent et agréable.

Il n'y a pas de petit déjeuner servi sur place

Where the jungle meets the sea
Pros:

Der Hotelmanager hat uns herzlich empfangen, bei allen Fragen weitergeholfen und sogar die erste Surfstunde organisiert. Wir sind früh angekommen, konnten das Gepäck abstellen und sind dann zum Strand. Wir bekamen eine Whatsapp als das Zimmer fertig war. Die Lage ist perfekt! Es gibt fußläufig zahlreiche Restaurants, Shops und einen Kiosk. Wir haben uns zusätzlich zu den Handtüchern über die Strandtücher gefreut. Wir sind rundum zufrieden mit der Unterkunft!

Cons:

Es wäre gut, wenn es ein paar Schilder an der Straße gäbe, um die Unterkunft leichter zu finden.

A beautiful jungle escape with incredible hospitality — I’d absolutely stay again!
Pros:

Casa Vana genuinely felt like being tucked away in the middle of the jungle. Waking up to birds, monkeys and the sound of nature all around you was such a special experience. It felt peaceful, immersive and completely different from a standard stay. The atmosphere was magical; surrounded by greenery and wildlife, yet still comfortable and well thought out. The staff were warm and helpful throughout, and the overall vibe was relaxed and authentic. It felt like a proper Sri Lankan experience rather than just accommodation, and the coconut on arrival was a lovely touch!

Cons:

My only tiny caveat was that the bathroom was outside of the bedroom. It was completely private and not an issue at all during the day — but after one slightly boozy evening, I did momentarily regret not paying the extra for an internal bathroom!

Séjour très agréable dans un cadre idyllique

Chambre propre, spacieuse et conforme aux photos.
Très bon emplacement hormis lors des soirées « secret jungle party » mais personnellement cela ne nous a pas tellement dérangé.

We hadden een badkamer los van onze kamer, dus dat is niet ideaal. Wel was dit van de voren netjes gecommuniceerd dus we wisten het voor onze komst.

Heerlijk verblijf in een oase van rust.
Pros:

Locatie is prachtig in het groen & mooie bloemen. Alles ziet er prachtig uit. Badkamer is open en hier spot je aapjes in de bomen.

Cons:

Uit de douche kwam nauwelijks water wanneer je deze op de warme stand zette.. hier zouden ze naar moeten kijken.

Good location but old and dusty and uncared for

The location is great, the staff are nice

Cons:

This place needs a serious revamp. It is extremely dirty. Dusty lights and lamp shades, dirty mosquito net with holes in it, dirty walls and handprints all over the glass doors. I imagine when it first opened it was lovely but I don’t think it has been looked after at all. The plants in my patio room were so sad - dying and not cared for at all. I tried to water them and dust and mosquitos flew up. I’m sad because the location is great, but they need a serious serious UPGRADE. it’s not good enough
