Hotel Guests are welcome to use the Health Club facilities including the swimming pool from 3pm on day of arrival until 11am on day of departure.

When traveling with pets, please note that an extra charge of £25 per room per night applies. Please note that a maximum of 2 pets is allowed.

For all arriving guests, the hotel reserves the right to pre-authorize a credit or debit card for the room rate per night plus an additional £50 per night for incidental charges.

The pre-authorization is not a charge but serves as a security guarantee for payment.

Any unused pre-authorized amount will be released on the day of departure.

If a credit or debit card cannot be provided for pre-authorization at check-in, full prepayment of the stay will be required upon arrival.

After successful pre-authorization, guests may charge items to their room during the stay by presenting their room key card wallet and signing for each transaction.

Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.

Cons:

The night manager expected us to sleep in a room knowing that it is without heating and initially lied that there was no alternative room available. Only offered an alternative after i insisted he contact the manager

Quiet and relaxing

Cons:

Only issue we had was we kept having issues with the toilet. One minute it was ok next the water would rise and seemed like it was blocked.

Very average stay
Pros:

Ok stay but nothing special. Clearly aimed at corporate/conference stays. Room was nice but overall very impersonal feel. Not a real spa. Just a pool plus steam room. Multiple children’s swimming lessons around teatime and parents using the loungers to change their children. Breakfast was great but dinner was over-priced for average quality. £5 for a bread roll is frankly ridiculous!

Comfortable stay
Pros:

We have stayed 3.tmes at chesford Grange and found the staff rooms and food very good.
Plenty of parking and the rooms are very tidy and a reasonable size. The bed was very comfortable.
We would have appreciated some glasses in the bathroom and also we didn't have any hot water and we weren't informed of this when we arrived only when I telephoned reception and told the boiler was being repaired. It was later fixed.
It didn't spoil our weekend.

Above and Beyond - Outstanding Care and Attention to Detail
Pros:

I researched extensively to find the perfect spa weekend to celebrate both a 60th birthday and a 16th birthday, and Chestford Grange Hotel came up as the perfect choice. One of the biggest challenges was finding a hotel that could accommodate three people in one room, as many places would not allow a third bed. This hotel not only offered that, but also allowed spa treatments for a 16-year-old, which made all the difference.

Before our stay, Monica from Reservations called to discuss our plans and, once she understood the significance of the celebration, she went above and beyond to upgrade our experience. On arrival, we were greeted warmly by Poppy, and our room had been beautifully decorated with balloons and thoughtful touches that immediately made us feel special.

The spa staff were extremely thorough and attentive, ensuring everything was just right to enhance our experience. I unfortunately had a small accident during our stay, and the kindness and care shown by all the staff was exceptional — especially Elliott, who was on duty and handled the situation with genuine compassion.

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with complimentary extras, and Rhea provided excellent service. Throughout our stay, we felt truly looked after; nothing was too much trouble, and the staff consistently made us feel welcome and happy.

To top it all off, Monica from Reservations even called after our stay to check that everything had gone well. This level of personal attention and care is rare and made our visit incredibly special. A truly lovely experience from start to finish.

Fantastic hotel, can highly recommend
Pros:

I went for a conference and was very impressed. The food was great, the atmosphere and facilities were excellent. I had a very comfortable bed and slept so well. I enjoyed having the gym and pool to use. I've already booked for the conference next year.

Pleasant Experience
Pros:

I attended this hotel for a conference, and stayed overnight. The conference venue is well appointed and we were well looked after. The bedroom was well appointed, clean and like much of the hotel recently decorated. The breakfast was buffet style, well laid out with many options.
The staff, from reception across all functions were polite and helpful.
There was plenty of on-site car parking, with barrier control.

Location really needs a car or taxi - it is close to the A46 and the HS2 route, but there was no noise.

Overall a pleasant experience and I would be happy to stay again.
