Recently stayed with family. Found staff friendly and the hotel had good facilities. Nice restaurant. Plenty of onsite car parking. Would definitely consider staying again.
Aircon in the room didn't work. Relied on opening windows and/or plug in heater
Room and breakfast were good value and we appreciated the EV chargers (very important for us) and also the spa treatment/ pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Very pleasant environment.
Less impressed with the dinner which was not good for the price
This is our go to hotel and we cannot fault it. We have been using it for about the past 25 years, from when our children were young.
The staff are always pleasant and friendly. The food is always of a good standard.
Best massage I’ve ever had thanks to libby
Health club and spa very welcoming thanks to Anton.
The pool area and changing rooms are very clean will definitely be going again
Highly recommend
The room was not cleaned regularly. As room wasn’t hoovered regularly, toilet wasn’t cleaned regularly. Maintence waking you up,when fault wasn’t reported.
Everything
Nothing
Lovely hotel service is excellent food is superb rooms very clean and it’s a great experience superb conference and meeting facilities.
Nothing
Considering this is supposed to be a four star hotel, it was not the standard I was expecting with that grading.
Our room was really cold and we had to use an electric heater because the room heating was broken. The bathroom basin would not drain down properly so had stagnant water in it.
The menu was really basic and the food was quite unpleasant. The breakfast buffet was lukewarm… our dog wouldn’t even eat the sausages that came with the breakfast!
I asked for a refund of the payment I had made for the next day’s breakfast on the grounds that I wasn’t happy with the first breakfast. The receptionist refused to give me a refund so the next morning I complained to management who refunded both breakfast charges.
The end of the hotel we stayed in was by a noisy car park as well. There are obvious signs of cutting back on costs, to the detriment of the guests.
The bed was comfortable which is a positive.
The location was ideal for where we wanted to travel to and visit the places we had planned. The hotel was clean and tidy even though they were having some refurbishment done at the time. We had booked this on a two-night offer for a birthday treat that included dinner, which was excellent from a new menu that was introduced that week. The first room did have some issues and would benefit from some refurbishment. As soon as we reported this to reception on the second day, we were offered an upgraded room to a suite. However, in this room we could hear a constant underlying noise from outside that didn’t stop all night and disturbed our sleep. The following morning we spoke to reception again and they suggested that we have a conversation with the duty manager upon checking out. This resulted in being offered a 50% refund that we accepted. Considering all that happened, the staff couldn’t have done any more than they did and it wouldn’t put us off going again in the future.
excellent location for visiting Kenilworth and its Castle; hotel was in the process of being repainted so there were few areas to sit and relax but overall the atmosphere was welcoming, and staff friendly. The cooked Breakfast on the first morning was disappointing - all items apart from a new tray of eggs were barely lukewarm, and had obviously been prepared some considerable time previously. Dinner was good, a delicious Caesar salad accompaniment to my steak. Cooked Breakfast the second morning was much better, food was fresh and hot. There was a good selection of continental fayre on offer. Our twin room was spacious, with the added attraction of a bath in addition to a shower. The grounds are pleasant and car parking easy.
Absolute rip off. We stayed for a wedding and paid £347 for 2 nights in which it included a discount for the wedding discout.
The Breakfast was below average, the room had TERRIBLE lighting to get ready in and the bathroom was something out of the 1990s.
The reason I say its a rip off is that the for the SAME room including breakfast we had others stay for £200 for the same length of time, yet all over the hotel they have posters saying its cheaper to book with them.
Great location , good food and drink and very comfortable, the grounds are very nice ,can imagine in summer would be great
All good
Staff friendly and helpful
There was an event running and the noise was allowed to go on until 3am. I spent 1.5 hours from 1am to 3am trying to call downstairs as I couldn’t leave my daughter in the room alone. No one answered until about 2.30am and I asked for them to go and stop the noise (not an unreasonable request) by which time some had got a drum out, they had obviously found/brought a speaker and were playing loud music in the bar area, shouting, cheering. Some of this party were also in the room next to me and were shouting and hollering at 1.30am until I heard another guest knock and ask them to be quiet. Finally quiet at 3am. I had to be up at 6am. It ruined my stay.
