This is a nice location for a quick and short getaway.
Pros:

Great location with beach access.

Cons:

There weren’t enough cushions for the wooden pool chairs and trying to relax on them without the cushion is highly uncomfortable.

I totally recommend this place and I would stay there again

It was very quiet, close to the beach, excellent view, loved the room.

Cons:

My mom wanted a fan and more lights in the room, but for me they were fine. Second floor not very accessible for an elder person.

water pressure, refrigerator knob for temperature regulation is broken and first day my food I placed on the top shelf froze and was ruined. Balcony was not a true balcony, could not go out on it or sit on it. all communications were in spanish. I was not given in advance my room number or passcode or actually where the units were. There was a prompt response from Booking when I messaged about this.

Make sure you have WhatsApp!
Pros:

The pool is huge, and max depth 3-4 feet. The door is coded, so there no need for keys. You can arrive and immediately go straight to your room, provided you have the code from the condo owner already. The time we were there, there was a security at the entrance. We had the seaside view room, and it really was amazing. We listened to the waves to go to sleep. The A/C unit in the room works great. The Greek restaurant next door tried their best at Mediterranean style, but it wasn't bad.

Cons:

For this specific booking, I didn't know I needed to have WhatsApp. The condo owner for room #222 only communicates through WhatsApp. If you have an American number, they do not answer. The front desk (reception) has NO information about the room, just the owners number. Useless because, again, they don't answer it. So definitely make sure you have WhatsApp. Also it looks like they are only spanish speaking. I know spanish but for a booking.com posting it's unusual. It felt more like a AirBNB booking.

Also, it really is true that the beach is very rocky and sharp, even in the water. Wear some water shoes for sure. Pretty to look at though, and relax next to. There are steps down from the hotel straight to the beach.

Good thing the Algodones beach is pretty close, which is known for fine sand (50 pesos to get in, 300 to rent one of their built tents for whole day which is option. you can bring your own).

Pros:

San Carlos was amazing! The condo is in a great spot at the end of town near the marina, was great for walking around. A little far from the town itself, but there are buses that will get you there. The condo was large and clean and had great light through the patio door.

Location, Friendly and helpful staff such as Laura T., my vehicle was safe thanks to proper security, also both property well maintained as well as the in pool area.

Cons:

The water pressure and temperature is a bit challenging in the shower. Coldest Jacuzzi that Ihave been to also jets bubbles never did work.. Also for the price of an entire week a balcony and more of a kitchen would have been better than just a microwave and small coffee maker.

Shower trickle was very poor and NOT what travelers want or need during stay! Also, NO english TV! No fresh towels or linens, and the Guide needs to be in English for your international guests. Cheap furnishings were too plain jane!

The manager is remote. Managing from behind. Only contact is on WhatsApp. There is no person to person even if you ask for a phone call and provide your number. WhatsApp management is all you will get. Our stay was ruined! We will not be staying at this location again.
