For the best R&R, go to Paternoster. Beautiful an relaxing.
Pros:

It was a spur of the moment booking as I was in Paternoster a day earlier and I had my dates all wrong. Everyone was so friendly and understanding.

Cons:

Loved everything about the accommodation, the people, the community and the food.

Fab location with wonderful views from the deck
Pros:

Fab location near to all the bars and restuarants, reasonable breakfasts and a comfy room. The small pool/patio area was also a great place to spend an afternoon with wonderful views over the bay.

Very quiet and comfortable stay.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen!
Pros:

Es war alles sehr sauber und wie in der Ausschreibung geschrieben. Die Lage ist perfekt. Das Personal auch sehr freundlich. Gutes Frühstück.

Cons:

Das Bad ist nicht modern, aber es war okay.

A tale of two cities - the excellent rooms on the one side and the disastrous restaurant.

The facilities are in an excellent condition, the room is comfortable and well equipped.

Cons:

The restaurant service was by far not up to standard! At first, I ordered a milkshake which was served with a very small straw which was not suitable for a milkshake. At dinner, I ordered the fish and later also ordered chicken livers. The fish was served before the chicken livers, I expected that the restaurant manager will delay the main dish until the chicken livers could be served. Eventually, the chicken livers were excessively warm, and I am sure it was more a bowl of sauce than a dish of chicken livers, The main course (fish), was really also not tasty and I returned half of it.
The breakfast was also by far not up to standard, both as far as quantity and quality is concerned although the price is higher than what one is used to at restaurants in Gauteng.
If I was the owner or management of the lodge, I would start without delay to save the lodge's reputation by investing properly in knowledgeable restaurant staff.

Overall, a pleasant experience - the staff was friendly and considerate.
Cons:

Improvement on the hot water - I showered with cold/ lukewarm water the whole time I was there. The staff mentioned that the geyser is shared amongst 2 adjacent units. On the last day, I woke up really early, but the water was still lukewarm.

Over all Everything was nice,

The view from the deck and eating area was very nice.

Cons:

The cleaning lady, have a attitude with my wife, and have word with each other.
Please talk to her, she is going to cost you clients who will not return.
The bathrooms is a bit old, an upgrade will help to rate it better.
