A precious gem atop St. Gallen!
Pros:

Beautifully appointed restored bite size inn on top of the St. Gallen world! Away from it all in a peaceful perch with extensive views of city below and Lake Constance in the distance.

Comfy beds with crisp linens and “natural ac “ ( open window breezes). Self serve modified, but completely adequate, breakfast in the tiny dining room or taken out to the terrace. Fresh bread delivered by 6 am… lovely staff! Loved it. Our family (5) took 3 of 4 rooms ! Everyone loved it!

Restaurant food was excellent. Kareem was so lovely and helpful. Glad I found this gem!

Would return if in this area again .

Sehr schöner Blick ins Tal,Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam vorallem die Hausdame die sich kümmert und auch mal länger bleibt.

Cons:

Kühlschrank wäre auf dem Zimmer gut gewesen, Lärm von der einer Veranstaltung .Nach 22 Uhr,muss dazu sagen, war nur ein Tag von 6 Tagen.

Tolle Lage direkt am Wald mit Blick über die Stadt, sehr ruhig, alles ordentlich und sauber, der Stil ist besonders - wie eben in einer kleinen "Burg", exzellentes Restaurant

Pros:

Das Frühstück ist ein Skandal. Man muss sich Alles unter extrem beengten Verhältnissen selbst zubereiten. Das ist Jugendherberge aber kein Hotel. Das angepriesene Restaurant war geschossen. Bei Ankunft Self Check In! Preis-Leistng passt nicht!

Très joli hôtel avec belle terrasse et belle vue!
Cons:

Seul bémol, on est en pleine canicule et il n’y a pas de climatisation.

Pros:

La situation géographique, le dîner au restaurant, la propreté.

Cons:

Le placard noir (pas assez de lumière pour voir dedans), le manque de tiroirs, manque de chaises confortables, le bouchon de l'évier qui ne fermait pas - mais surtout le SELF_SERVICE: pas de réception, pas de service au petit déjeuner, pas même les couverts sur les tables. On a l'impression qu'on s'intéresse à notre argent mais pas à nous servir! Et on a dû payer d'avance (et répondre à plusieurs e-mails).

A comfortable place to stay with a view of the city and access to walking.
Pros:

I hadn't anticipated the extent to which the town is on a number of levels. The hotel is quite elevated and the view is excellent, but I was glad I took a taxi to arrive. In fact, it doesn't take as long to access the town as I thought it would, despite the fact that the funicular railway was closed the day I was there. The accommodation is very comfortable and spacious, and I was pleased that someone was there when I arrived. The restaurant was excellent, and is clearly very popular.

Cons:

I think too much reliance is put on the expectation that you will self check in with an access code. Because someone was there when I arrived, this wasn't necessary, but there is a lot that could go wrong - if you can't access the message with the access code, for instance.
