Disappointing that the different hotels (Manohara hotel and Manohara resort hotel) is kept so deliberately vague
Pros:

The roof top was nice

Cons:

It is not made clear that the manohara hotel and manohara resort hotel are different properties (I had intended to stay at the resort one). Even the various hotel reviews for the manohara hotel talked about the perks of the resort hotel such as free entry to the park, with no attempt to remove those reviews for the other property. When I raised my confusion to the staff, their reply was- that happens all the time! With no attempt to redress the issue or change the fact that they basically have the same name. Staying at the resort was the part of my trip I was most looking forward to, so it was bitterly disappointing.

A Manohara Surprise!
Pros:

My beautiful wife and I stayed at The Manohara ostensibly to attend the nearby Wisma Bahasa Indonesian language school. We chose The Manohara because it was walkable to our academy. I have to say that we really enjoyed at the hotel itself. We put the gym, the rooftop pool, the bar and especially the sumptuous breakfast buffet (thankyou Chef Koko!!) to very good use. We found the rooms were good, neat and clean. We particularly enjoyed meeting the Manohara staff. They were fantastically friendly, confident and helpful people. From the convenient location of the hotel we visited most of the famous Yogya sights easily (Kraton, Ramyana Ballet, Temples, Malioboro etc). We found some nice restaurants nearby. So, the Manohara proved to be much more than a convenient location for us: it felt like a friendly oasis in busy Yogyakarta.

Mooie ruime kamer

Cons:

Het ontbijt was zeer Indonesisch , weinig westerse opties.
Ver gelegen van de meeste bezienswaardigheden.
Zwembad maar open tot 18 uur , in de ochtend ook geen barservice.

Hat sich gelohnt!
Pros:

Schönes und modernes Hotel. Frühstück fanden wir hervorragend., da indonesisch aber auch Omlet und Toast. Der Pool auf dem Dach mit Bar lädt am Abend zum verweilen ein. Mit GRAEB ist alles bequem zu erreichen. Gerne wieder! Wir waren 3 Nächte im Hotel.

Pros:

Everything in this hotel is amazing. I really enjoyed my stay… the location is perfect, very accessible to interesting places, the atmosphere was so serene, room was lovely, the hotel is super clean with very friendly staff who made my stay memorable. All the amenities worked perfectly. The food was so nice!!!😊 I highly recommend!!!

Enjoyed our stay very much, and the beds were comfortable.
Pros:

Location was good. Breakfast was large buffet with western and eastern options. Lots of local desserts. Location was good, but far from tourist sights like Borobudur and the airport. Staff was very friendly and attentive, and helped with the refrigerator when we checked in. They have a place to hold medication that needs to be cooled at a specific temperature. Seeing security was also a comforting sign.

Cons:

Pool was surprisingly cold!
Even though it was hot outside, in the shade the pool is pretty chilly. We were also surprised that the pool closes early, but the temperature may have something to do with it.
