Pleasant
Pros:

Only booked for one night as I was attending something local so the hotel location was ideal. The food was good and the service received was excellent. Air conditioning is always a bonus these days too!

Cons:

The TV remote didn’t work however I wasn’t too bothered as I had my iPad and there was wifi available in the hotel. Unfortunately the wifi wasn’t sufficient for streaming, a video call or social media use and there was poor mobile signal so if you stay on the ground floor I suggest downloading something you watch prior to your arrival or bringing a book.

Comfortable Night's Sleep
Pros:

A great location near shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly, and check in was very smooth. The bed was comfortable and the room had lovely air conditioning which was welcome given the recent weather.

Cons:

The water in the sink and the shower was slow to drain away, but that didn't bother us too much.

Great value for money
Pros:

Air conditioning worked really well which was exactly what we needed during the heatwave. The hotel is about a ten minute drive from Durham so it was convenient for visiting Durham University.
