Boutique old style hotel on the banks of the Shannon with a good pub and restaurant. Rooms were comfortable, well equipped and cosy, if a bit too warm. Food in the restaurant was really good, and its a busy local pub also. Its a great location for exploring Roscommon, Strokestown and the Shannon. Nice walks down by the river.
There was a bit of road noise from trucks passing over the Shannon bridge at night.
Service outstanding staff went out of their way to accommodate us with food arriving after kitchen closure
friendly, efficient ... just great example for Irish hospitality
Nothing really
Great atmosphere
Food was great
Staff very friendly and always available to support
Room was big and warm
Will definitely stay again.
nothing really.
Just some aspects of the bathroom that was slightly outdated, but that is down to preference I would say.
Great stay!
The staff are terrific. Extremely friendly and helpful. I visit here often for work and every time they remember me by name without having to check records. Service in the bar/restaurant is excellent and the breakfast service is absolutely superb.
Location, furnishings, cleanliness, staff behind bar great and in particular breakfast excellent. Agnus, polish lady looking after us at breakfast, amazing customer service, friendly, a credit to the place
Arrived approx 5.30pm. Had to find Mgr (small guy), seemed surprised we were guests, gave us key to room. Safe not work in room, back down again & after 3 staff tried to get his attention, we had to approach him, and instead gave us a key for room 11 where there was no safe at all. We gave up at that stage. No customer care whatsoever. Nice Blonde lady came over to table & at least she asked if we were ok. Food (fish & chips not great) in restaurant.
Staff, atmosphere and room all really good, lovely bar also
Excellent range. Delicious hot breakfast served by very attentive staff. As much tea and coffee as you wanted!
Last orders for evening meal were at 7.30. A bit early for us. Food delicious and service great.
The room had a lovely view of the river and the in house restaurant was very good. Given the other sleeping and eating options in the area (few), in my opinion Keenan's is the best choice. The location to the Famine Museum (a must see) was very good. Parking was convenient.
The bed mattress was a little hard. Nothing else.
Nice room with own balcony. Near to river with river view.
Nearby is a bascule iron bridge, from there was coming noises when car driving over it. Was a hot weather and needed to keep door window open. When can keep door closed probably not hear it.
Fresh warm baking with full choice of breakfast items
Having to leave!
I stayed there before
Nothing everything is excellent
Right on the Shannon, with a view over the river and a balcony (not that we used it in December!). Very peaceful and comfortable room, and the breakfast variety was like something one would expect at a much larger hotel, except that it was freshly cooked and of great quality.
I honestly can't think of a single thing that could have been improved about our stay. We will definitely be back again, as we have been multiple times since first discovering this little gem in 2020 (or 2021?)
Everything about our stay was wonderful - room decor, river view, food, atmosphere and decor of bar, exceptional staff.
The stay was fantastic , beautiful property and very well kept. Food was fantastic and staff were extremely friendly. My colleague stays with you weekly, so you came highly recommended & would intend to stay again.
I very small issue was their was a very loud water boiler type noise in the early hours of the morning possibly around 5.30 which lasted about 10 minutes and unfortunately woke me however this did not take away from the excellant experiance you provide.
Atmosphere, food, helpful and friendly staff, location. We will be back.
Nothing, everything was perfect
Fantastic stay, lovely hoyel with warm friendly staff. The food was amazing. Will definitely stay again
