Lovely location next to river and room overlooked river with a small balcony with table and chairs. Room was lovely too! The manager was very helpful and friendly but unfortunately next door in the pub restaurant they were not as friendly or helpful.
After checking in it was lovely and sunny so we wanted to sit out the back on the terrace behind restaurant and have a drink after a long days driving but were told we couldn't sit there unless we were ordering food? (Even though we were paying hotel guests). We tried to explain that we were staying there and not just gone for a meal but they still refused us a seat. So we got a drink from the bar and went and sat over the road on a bench beside the river instead. Very short sighted of them really but it didn't spoil our stay as everything else was very nice!
Comfortable rooms, lovely location, delicious breakfast.
Booked twin (for a friend and I) arrived to a double. Separated the bed into two. Problem no extra sheets for second bed. Bit of faffing around with staff member but ultimately he sorted a separate room. It was midnight and ultimately solution was perfect!
