Comfortable Boutique hotel, great food and lots to do within a 20 mile radius.
Pros:

Boutique old style hotel on the banks of the Shannon with a good pub and restaurant. Rooms were comfortable, well equipped and cosy, if a bit too warm. Food in the restaurant was really good, and its a busy local pub also. Its a great location for exploring Roscommon, Strokestown and the Shannon. Nice walks down by the river.

Cons:

There was a bit of road noise from trucks passing over the Shannon bridge at night.

Pros:

Location, furnishings, cleanliness, staff behind bar great and in particular breakfast excellent. Agnus, polish lady looking after us at breakfast, amazing customer service, friendly, a credit to the place

Cons:

Arrived approx 5.30pm. Had to find Mgr (small guy), seemed surprised we were guests, gave us key to room. Safe not work in room, back down again & after 3 staff tried to get his attention, we had to approach him, and instead gave us a key for room 11 where there was no safe at all. We gave up at that stage. No customer care whatsoever. Nice Blonde lady came over to table & at least she asked if we were ok. Food (fish & chips not great) in restaurant.

True to the description.
Pros:

The room had a lovely view of the river and the in house restaurant was very good. Given the other sleeping and eating options in the area (few), in my opinion Keenan's is the best choice. The location to the Famine Museum (a must see) was very good. Parking was convenient.

Cons:

The bed mattress was a little hard. Nothing else.
