Amazing place. Value for money
Pros:

Room was very spacious, hot water always available, eating place right next door, great location, great ambiance with ethnic touch.
Worth every penny.

Amazing homestay
Pros:

Right from the moment we stepped in, we loved everything we saw. The place was spotless, well curated & decorated.

The room is spacious & tastefully done. The day & night shift staff are friendly & share insights if you chat with them.

There's no restaurant. The breakfast is ordered from a nearby restaurant. We had idli, vada & pongal. Non oily & tasty.

Dinner was 2 buildings away. We loved it. If you don't want to walk 2 bungalow distance, the staff can bring the parcel but you'll miss the dining experience.

Location of Tanjore Inn is close to Bhrihadeshwara temple.

Cons:

Nothing to fault.

Badly managed place.
Pros:

The room was clean and sufficiently sized. The airconditioner worked.

Cons:

The staff are totally inept and incapable to dealing with a middle class footfall, leave alone international travellers. The boys at the hotel don't understand a word of English (mostly pretend in my view), walk bare footed, and created ugly dirt marks when they wandered into our shower area to inspect a fault with flow of water from the tap. The force was so low, that quite apart from there being no shower at all, even getting water out of the cold water system through the tap was impossible. The water from the hot water system could not be diluted to get the right mix of temperature. The staff gave all sorts of stupid excuses and feigned ignorance of systemic problems. Worst of all, they offered us a spare room which I would not even put a dog into.

Pros:

Maison coloniale à deux pas d’un excellent restaurant.
Emplacement au calme, un peu excentré.
Personnel très agréable et respectueux des besoins.
Petit déjeuner correct.

Cons:

Linge de lit peu propre. Dommage !

Cet Hotel était globalement agréable.

Cons:

Le point le plus négatif est l'emplacement, même si le quartier est agréable, l'hôtel est beaucoup trop excentré. D'autre part le Service se résume au stricte minimum, entre autre aucun service de blanchisserie et aucun effort pour proposer une solution. Petit déjeuner très réduit.

The room wasn’t worth the money at all, and even the toilet flush wasn’t working properly. Pretty disappointing stay.

The room is not worth the price they are charging. The facilities were disappointing, especially the toilet flush, which was not working properly. Overall, the experience did not match the cost, and I would not recommend staying here unless improvements are made.

Good value stay in the heart of Thanjai
Pros:

Staff were excellent and the service was very good. They take food orders proactively and the nearby restaurant focuses on health food prepared the traditional way in a clay pot - it is a local favorite I hear.

Cons:

The room was neat but felt cramped and the bathroom facilities a bit dated. For the price though one has to expect and accept this level of comfort and quality.
