Chair in the room isnt very comfortable
The only thing to like about the property is the location to the beach. Nothing else.
The staff accused my wife of blocking a toilet with face wipes (that were clearly in the bin). For them to also steal the wipes out of her belongings, move us to a smaller room as the bathroom was “out of order”. I deal with plumbing, pipes, etc, every single day for a living and there was nothing wrong with the bathroom except from the pressure of the flush and the taps.

The Dunes Hotel is perfect for me. It is superbly located and has everything I need for my bi-annual Whitley Bay trips. Comfy room, tv, excellent shower, tea/coffee in room and at an excellent price. I am always made very welcome from start to finish.

Paul was fantastic and arranged taxis for the family funeral. It was a lovely room with a good view of the sea. The tv was large and the Guest house is well placed for shops bars and restaurants
Good value small single en suite Larger Bathroom in room I stopped in than rooms in before .On wet and windy day and evening v convenient for Fire Station Weatherspoons Pub and other choices for Sustanance.Nice and quiet overnight.

Room was adequate, clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay. 5 min walk from the sea and shops... would stay here again.

It would have been good to have some access to water to fill the kettle other than the bathroom, which is a.bit icky anyway, and thenlbsononis so small, the kettle does nt really fit under the tap. But... really, not a biggie
