El hotel tiene buena presentación en cuanto llegas
No hay personal solamente 2 joven citas que están en el restaurante y son las que te dan la llave de la habitacion pero no te saben dar ninguna explicación del porque no hay tv, el agua caliente tarda mucho en salir el baño sucio muchos cabellos en el lavabo y en la regadera comparando los precios de la zona me esperaba algo mejor
Clean enough
Not close enough to Grutas and far from town so only good if you have car and shuttle buses are sparse. The restaurant is not open everyday. The door to the roof kept banging all night keeping me awake.

Einfach und lieblos. Inhaberin nicht ganz ehrlich. Sie hatte uns ein Upgrade angeboten, dieses kostete 200 Pesos. War ok. Später im Lokal tranken wir noch zwei Bier und wollten alles zahlen. Ich zahlte mit 500 Pesos, bekam dann 100 zurück. Abends sah ich dann auf der Karte dass ein Bier 40 Pesos kostete. Waren nur 20Pesos, also etwa 1 €. Unbedeutend aber hinterlässt einen blöden Geschmack.

The price
The location, quite hard bed, loud music from 7 am
There was no staff located at the hotel. When we arrived, the owner's son happened to drive by and helped us check in. The restaurant was closed during our stay. The toilet leaked across the slick tiles. In the middle of the night, two people knocked on our door, which was frightening. They said that a prior guest had left something in a drawer that they needed to retrieve. We confirmed that the object was indeed in the drawer. Obviously the room had not been well cleaned.

The hotel is conveniently close to the Grutas at Tolantongo. The staff was very nice, there was plenty of air circulation to keep the place cool during the day and plenty of blankets to stay warm at night.
The bathroom had a very strong smell of sewage, had to keep the door closed and the window open at all times. The hot water was scarce to shower. Wi-Fi was iffy at best, kept cutting in and out. TVs didn’t work.
The location is perfect for the grutas, very convenient. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The cost of the rooms if we had called directly was more than 300 mxn less than what we paid on booking. I regret not having called. The food was not great at the hotel's restaurant, and the staff was not very friendly, also calculated the dinner bill incorrectly (fixed it when we pointed it out).
I made this booking because it was for just one night, and I wanted to be "down the hill" from Grutas Tolantango ( a MUST SEE!). There is a restaurant there and bar.
The room was small, but had a king-size bed, and it was clean. The shower was good.
The room had a covered outside balcony that was big enough to sit on (bench included).
Breakfast was not included, but inexpensive and good, with lots of options. They also have a bar and it was open late.
There is a beautiful church in the small town nearby, which is worth a visit.
No AC, but it was cool enough with the windows open. Unfortunately, our room faced the main road, with traffic going by at night, and the curtain over the door to the balcony did not go all the way down and was also not opaque, so there was a privacy and light issue.
