It was not clear that the wine pairing is an additional charge and not included in the meal that was already costly R775 for the meal and R775 for the pairing per person was hefty

Wow - what a place. SM exceeded all of our expectations, Food, Service and staff were all amazing. Marked down on Location as you need to Uber everywhere but the actual location is great it is just it is a little out of town

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wish we could have stayed longer. This place is pure perfection, with a sprinkle of customisation that makes each individual guest feel special.
Kagiso was our waiter for lunch and supper and very attentive. We will be back again!!!

Every aspect of our stay was intentionally welcoming. From the welcome beverages to the bedside treat, we felt cared for every moment of our stay. The tour of the sanctuary allowed us to have an inside look into the life of Nelson Mandela. Each person at the sanctuary told us more about the beautiful history of his time there. We highly recommend a stay at the sanctuary to all who visit Johannesburg.
The meals were exceptional and designed with a global perspective. Each dish has its own story. There is amazing variety.
