Beautiful location & lovely room. All of the staff were very helpful & friendly.
Big dogs sitting up on the seats in the entertainment area.
So glad they were not allowed in the dining area as I have an allergy to them.
Other areas were so spacious, it lessened their effect on me.
I realise it is an ideal place for people with dogs .
Me and my partner went for the weekend stay, The location is amazing, beautiful scenery, the rooms are beautiful, clean, tidy, well kept, spacious.
The wee pub was lovely and cosy, the staff are all so nice and helpful, Sue at the reception desk was so helpful, chatty and couldn't be anymore helpful. I sent decorations by post before my arrival, as it was my partners 40th, and they set up the room with all the decorations, which was so nice of them to do, was a great wee touch to his birthday celebrations. My partner also received a lovely birthday card from the hotel which was very nice.
The chamber maid was so helpful. The place is wonderful, we really enjoyed ourselves, so relaxing. Their was entertainment on at night, got to watch the footy also in the lounge,
It had plenty of things to do for all ages. We used the pool, sauna and steam room and jacuzzi. Very clean locker rooms . We went just after 9 for a swim and it wasn't busy which was great. The view restraunt staff were so nice. The food was great, a little pricey but nice food, i recommend the mac and cheese 🍽 overall great place. We definitely will be back. Also I left my makeup bag there and sue at reception sorted it and said just buy a delivery from royal mail and they can pick it up, which I did, I'm very greatful, wee sue and her wee dog were so lovely.
Good vibe from the place ✨️
Their wasn't a lot of things we could say we didn't like. Maybe the singer who was on was a bit iffy, she was changing songs too quickly and her mic was rather too loud which sounded noisy instead of singing.
The steam room wasn't steamy, and the sauna wasn't that hot, its was warm but not roasting.
The restraunt could maybe have a wee bit more intimate feeling too it, instead of being abit like a family pub/restraunt feel.
But thats all I can say that we could have negative, but those things can be easily changed.
Size of the room and boy in restaurant with dark hair and beard was a great worker
Think restuarant was short staffed the cheesecake was worst l have tasted was like a cheap freezer shop one we complained there was no hot water for shower in morning the girl checking us out said our maintenance team are on it AT LEAST PRETEND TO CARE ABOUT IT! TOTALY DISMISIVE!!! Not very professional at all!!!
Staff excellent
Room to warm, ne heating on ?
Nothing to like.
Ivy Chen - 'The supervisor' apparently.
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at this hotel left me genuinely disappointed. The supervisor I interacted with was extremely rude and displayed a complete lack of people skills. Throughout our conversation, she showed no empathy or willingness to listen, which made an already stressful situation even worse.
As someone working in hospitality, you would expect a certain level of courtesy, understanding, and professionalism—unfortunately, none of that was present. Her attitude was dismissive and unhelpful, and it reflected very poorly on the hotel.
I truly hope management addresses this, because no guest should be made to feel the way I did. The supervisor should seriously reconsider how she speaks to people; her behavior was unacceptable and frankly something she should be ashamed of. Until improvements are made, I cannot recommend this hotel.
Great staff.
Location.
Staff were friendly.
Enjoyed the food.
Even though we explicitly messaged multiple times we'd be late arrivals, and our rough arrival time, the night porter took some tracking down to get our room key.
Hard mattresses.
No hot water first morning. After discovering it was hotel wide and not just our room, nothing more was said.
Small room hampered by lack of storage or surfaces to put gear on.
Old TV system, should be able to stream or cast my own paid subscriptions.
Nothing
No hot water
Bed uncomfortable
Staff not interested
Very expensive
Beautiful setting and great for the dogs
Everything . Pool, golf, sauna, steam room, food, walking with dogs . Great stay 👍
Beautiful setting and staff were lovely. Very clean rooms.
Lovely food in the View restaurant, we had breakfasts/brunch and Sunday Roasts.
Excellent nearby facilities at Loch Goil Cruisers boat hire and Boat Shed cafe for a great day out. ( 100% recommend you visit for a wee day out ) .
Too expensive for what is on offer.
Beds were far too hard for us - sore backs from the exceptionally firm mattresses , although this is just a matter of preference.
I was surprised by the lack of facilities and entertainment given that it is a 5 star resort.
Had to pay £10 per person for gym access. I should have asked to see the gym first as it was tiny, dirty, no tv's worked and was pretty poor...£30 wasted..( I should have asked for a refund given that we only stayed in for about 15 mins and didn't want to re-use it later in the day given the conditions , but i didn't want to embarrass the girl at reception so we just left it ).
Advertised evening activities not on, even though it was the start of the school holidays, and then no evening entertainment on a Monday or Tuesday as standard.
Bar not fully stocked even though it was a weekend.
We still had a good few days away however £516 for 2 nights, Room Only wasn't worth it. I'd maybe look for a deal / offer next time to make it better value given what I know to expect.
Location, quality of rooms , decent bar, nice food, spacious restaurant, lovely grounds.
Quite expensive.
Beautiful location
Restaurant staff a bit grumpy
Everything was very enjoyable
Nice sized room, comfortable, clean, good food, friendly helpful staff. Great location for a relaxing break.
