Great stay overall.
Pros:

The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, the room was clean and comfortable, and everything felt well organised. I really enjoyed my time there and would happily stay again.

Fantastic Islay stay
Pros:

Beautiful wee hotel in Port Charlotte, room was spotless and finished to a high standard. Food was excellent, especially the breakfast!

Cons:

We could hear the music from the bar quite loud in our room on the first night however the hotel did kindly supply ear plugs which helped a lot.

Having owned and running the facility for the past 150 years I cannot say in words how friendly this family was and then

It was central being a fifth generation running the hotel. It was amazing and from father to mother to children. Everybody bent over backwards to help us and they were the kindest people we’ve ever met staying at their accommodation.

Pros:

The rooms are amazing, spacious and comfortable with little helpful inclusions like phone chargers on each side of the bed, multiple coffee and milk options in the room. I also loved the themes that each room has.

Single night on a road trip. Super cozy rooms
Pros:

Amazing rooms and great staff. A little further from the busier but more crowded centers of Islay but still in driving distance

Pros:

Für unsere große Gruppe von 12 Personen war das Hotel gut. Das Personal war immer bemüht unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Z.B. konnten wir abends den Frühstücksraum für uns nutzen. Das Frühstück war typisch britisch. Auf wunsch konnte man auch etwas Käse erhalten. Die Zimmer waren gerade ausreichend groß. Bei einigen von uns, die ein Dreibettzimmer hatten, war es eng. Für unsere Ausflüge auf der Insel war die Lage des Hotels sehr gut.

Cons:

Die Einrichtung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen und entspricht nicht mehr heutigen Erwartungen.

Very relaxing and enjoyable stay, despite insufficient insulation.
Pros:

Huge and very comfortable rooms facing the Main Street of the village. Excellent facilities, good breakfast, very polite and helpful staff.

Cons:

Room was immediately above the bar of the hotel (loud music till late on Friday night)
