Pros:

This place was great. Very welcoming and friendly and the staff were so helpful and pleasant. It's a long since I was last in Islay and I had a lovely time showing my Canadian cousins around. Everywhere we went we were blown away by the kindness and helpfulness of everyone we met and I have no intention of leaving it so long the next time xx

An Islay experience with local hospitality we really enjoyed.
Pros:

A great breakfast! Personalised service with options including a full Scottish Breakfast. Great old style service that we really appreciated and added to our experience on Islay.

Cons:

Nothing. It's an older style establishment that added to the experience. Wouldn't change anything.

A lovely family owned hotel in Port Charlotte.
The rooms a wonderfull and very comftable with erverything you need. A bath, coffeemachine, refridegerator, TV and many more.

The breakfast is very good. From full scotish breakfast, scrambled eggs, cellogs and many more. Fresh brewd coffee and some Juice.

You can also have a good dinner in the hotel Restaurant or a good drink in the bar.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft in privatem Wohlfühl-Ambiente
Pros:

Familiengeführtes Haus in dem der Chef Iain das Frühstück (meist) noch selbst macht und ein Full-Scottish-Breakfast serviert das Seinesgleichen sucht. Sehr angenehme private Atmosphäre! Alexander hinter der Bar, ein klasse Typ und Whiskyfachmann, genau so wie sein Bruder Jack, herzensfreundliche Menschen, immer für ein nettes Gespräch aufgelegt. Die Zimmer komplett renoviert mit nagelneuem Bad und hervorragenden Betten. Es gibt zwei Bars, eine im Restaurant-Bereich und eine public Bar, in der sich die Locals treffen und in der es an Wochenenden, gerade wenn Life-Music angesagt ist, schon mal zugehen kann wie in einer Disco.

The owners and staff were fantastic and made our stay so enjoyable.
The nice little touches in the room made the stay that much more comfortable and the personal service at breakfasts started the days nicely.

Ian and staff were incredibly welcoming and flexible, full of information about local facts, history and nature (Machir Bay, for example). All of this enhanced our short visit and experiences. Coming again.

The staff at the Lochindaal Hotel is unmatched, they were so friendly and helpful during our stay. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The hotel also has a kitchen and bar attached, which had a great atmosphere. The Scottish breakfast in the morning was incredible!

Thoughtful choice of soy/oat or real milk on tea tray - and no cliche 2 x shortbread finger pack - lovely Tunnocks " Caramel wafer instead . Nice touch .a
