Nice place with nice people
Situated near the entrance to the jungle where you can see a variety of animals, snakes, insects etc
The orangutans of course are the highlight

Außergewöhnlicher Aufenthalt mit tollem Essen, sehr netten Menschen und super Aktivitäten!
Pros:

Wir hatten einen hervorragenden Aufenthalt bei Sam. Die Zimmer sind sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Die Lage ist wunderschön, direkt am Wasser und sehr ruhig gelegen. Das Restaurant ist super, das Essen so lecker und die Auswahl ist top (es gibt sogar viele verschiedene vegetarische Optionen). Wir haben auch über Sam‘s unsere Dschungel-Tour gebucht und hatten dort ein ganz tolles Erlebnis mit Rama und Raja, die beiden haben sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben und wir haben so viele Orang-Utans gesehen, es war traumhaft. Ich glaube, dass aber das beste am Aufenthalt die Menschen dort sind. Das gesamte Team von Sam‘s ist unglaublich herzlich, hilfsbereit und offen. Wir können jedem den Aufenthalt wärmstens empfehlen.

Cons:

Das WLAN im Zimmer funktioniert schlecht, was uns aber nicht gestört hat, da man so mal etwas abschalten kann. Jeder, der darauf angewiesen ist, sollte das berücksichtigen. Das WLAN außerhalb der Zimmer funktioniert aber problemlos.

Pros:

We extended our stay to 2.5 weeks at Sam's as we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Everybody was so nice and generous with their time and stories that we were sad to leave. The hot showers, air conditioning, starlink WiFi, comfortable bed and privacy were highlights for the room but the location was by far our favourite thing about Sam's. We spent everyday walking observing the wildlife and saw so many animals close by. We loved it and will be recommending it to everyone we know! Don't hesitate! And stay at least a week if you can. Everybody we met wanted to stay longer!

Together with our 16-year-old son, we stayed at Sam’s place to enjoy the jungle — two nights at the lodge and one unforgettable overnight in the jungle itself. The pickup by motorbike was smoothly arranged, and meeting Sam and his team was a warm and welcoming start to our holiday in Sumatra. It was even better than expected!
The restaurant, perched at a lookout point at the end of the street, offered a stunning view of the river. Starting and ending our days there was a real pleasure — the atmosphere was relaxed, the people incredibly kind, and the food delicious.
Our room was located up the stairs opposite the restaurant, with an even more breathtaking view, surrounded by countless monkeys. If you want to see monkeys — this is the place! The room was cozy, clean, and had a traditional touch. The bathroom, newly built, was modern and spotless.
We also went on a jungle trek with two young guides who completely stole our hearts. They were truly the best— ask for the brothers Rama and Dicky! Not to forget the chef at the camp site who cooked us a delicious meal after our walk.
We look back on a wonderful holiday and will never forget the kind people of Sam’s place.

Pros:

Nous y avons passé trois nuits.
Je vous recommande vivement, l'établissement est géré par une jeune et dynamique équipe. Ils nous ont réservé les transferts en taxi et nous avons pu voir les orangs-outans à quelques minutes de notre hôtel. Notre chambre était spacieuse avec une grande terrasse avec vue sur la rivière, d'où nous avons pu observer des langurs de Thomas et bien sûr nous avons eu la visite de macaques.
Le restaurant est également très bon.

Fantastisch verblijf bij Sam's Bungalows.
Pros:

De vriendelijkheid van Sam en het gehele team was fantastisch! Sam had altijd tijd voor een praatje. Het eten, telkens vers klaargemaakt was heerlijk! De 1day trekking en de village tour waren super! Wij hadden het geluk om 4 Orang Utangs te zien. We vonden het jammer om te vertrekken.

Helemaal niks!
