Malek is een vriendelijke jonge man. Geen enkele vraag was te veel, heel hulpvaardig ! We hadden een aangenaam verblijf.

WiFi wasn't great
Location was fantastic and perfect as a base to explore this enchanting city. Malek was a fantastic host and always happy to have a chat and recommend great things to do in the area which he is very proud of. The accommodation was good for the price and very clean. Chefchaouen is more than just the blue painted walls and would recommend anyone to visit here.
The bed was uncomfortably firm and would also be good if shower gel & towel was provided.

One of the bedrooms did smell of damp and the electricity went out whilst we were there which was not the properties fault

The location is right in the middle of the wonderful old blue alleyways, with plenty of eating options close by.

Central medina location and very welcoming staff with local recommendations
Very bare-bones with no towels provided, no soap in the bathroom and no duvet apart from a heavy blanket which smelled. The bed was rock hard and made it hard to sleep. There was also a strong smell from the bathroom drains, perhaps due to the age of the building, but was hard to get rid of.
The host, Malek, is very nice and offers great suggestions for visiting. The bathroom is shared but it's clean and the shower puts out a lot of hot water.
Nothing, would come back
Casa Malek is a perfect placed solution if you want a traditional experience in the heart of Chefchaouene, with a great host who will do everything to help you and accommodate your stay.

Great location, for someone traveling alone, a very hospitable host who was gracious in showing & telling me about the best of Chefchaouen's sites, restaurants, nearby national park & transportation in getting around.
Hostel is at a very good location right in the middle of the blue city. The room is nice decorated with blue color and nice pictures so that you feel like you‘re out there in the streets as it looks the same.
Malek is a very friendly owner! He picked us up from the parking space where we parked our rental car (30 DH per night). He showed us a good local restaurant and helped us to find the way to the Akchour waterfalls.
Only little improvements could be made, for example the wifi speed is very limited, there is no dustbin in the room and only one wall socket available
