Its location.
It was absolutely filthy. The female restroom near the conference room was disgusting. The room was shabby, with questionable plumbing eg sink and toilet not draining; toilet paper holder hanging off wall; towels smelled. Nothing grand about this hotel and unfit to bear Sheraton name. I’m totally shocked.
Facilities are great very new
I got bed bug bites from sleeping there
Clean hotel with a modern aesthetic. Nice amenities, beautiful pool.
The location is close to the airport, but not so close to the city centre of Grand Rapids.
開放感があり良かった😊
The hotel facility and location are good. I personally enjoy the pool and the room. Overall it's clean.
The staff in the hotel has some improper behavior. I m not recommend all minority to visit this hotel until they have made convincing change. We were rudely treated and improperly interacted. In the morning shuttle transporation, the staff only allowed white people to board, even we arrived earlier. The person on site also mock at us.
It’s my first day/night of a three day conference and check-in was fantastic. The hotel and room and everything else are clean, well maintained, and the staff have been wonderful. Not that it matters, but the decor is absolutely lovely! Simple and welcoming, and perfect for winter.
Nice and comfortable
Nothing
Good part of g.r., the staff were nice and understanding but I have yet to see what they promised in a refund.
It is so big without help for the handicap. I had no phone in my room so I couldn't call the front desk to help me. It was awful I was stuck in my room until I left because I could only walk it 1 more time to leave due to medical issues. I was supposed to get 50% back on my stay and I have yet to see it on my booking.com afterpay. I was surprised that it was a Marriott hotel!
Easy check in
No trash bags in garbage. Towels had dark make up stains. Tv did not work for the game. No plug by mirror in living area for doing hair when someone in bathroom. Couldn’t fit 2 in bathroom at a time. Too small
I was a bit concerned about staying here after reading many of the reviews but I have to say my stay was very pleasant. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and updated. Beds and pillows were comfy. There is a coffee shop in hotel that served Starbucks coffee. I didn’t have a far walk to my room but my colleague did have quite a walk to his room. The only negative was the tub did not drain well.
There are lots of shopping and dining options in the area.
It's the best Marriott-branded option in Grand Rapids outside of downtown.
The Sheraton is a strong, full-service hotel -- which can be hard to find in Grand Rapids -- with a restaurant, a Bonvoy lounge, partial room service, a great gym and a nice pool area.
The restaurant can be hit-and-miss and, oddly, not always the usual level of west Michigan warmth. Service in the evening was confusing (seat yourself or wait at the entrance; who knows?!). In the morning, having a Starbucks counter is great -- but anyone eating in the restaurant also needs to queue up to order, so the line can take a long time. In spite of all of that, the restaurant is pretty strong and a great amenity to have in a hotel.
The Bonvoy club lounge is nice, but pretty basic in its offering. In the mornings, the service is friendly and the breakfast is fine. (The food is standard but limited - eggs/bacon/pancakes - but never seems to offer anything extra like fruit.) In the evenings, there is no attendant (so, with no way to get a drink, the wine in the lounge appears to be just for show). The evening snacks are similarly basic, but fine. A couple of hot items each night, but I never saw any cheeses, vegetables, sweets, etc.
Guest rooms are generally really good. It's a decades-old hotel that's been recently renovated and brought up to current Sheraton brand standards.
The only room issue: avoid any rooms with connecting doors, as there is zero soundproofing. You will hear every breath, sneeze and conversation in your neighbor's room if the two rooms have that adjoining door option. (Not all rooms do.)
The hotel gym is one of the best. Modern and very nicely updated, with really good equipment.
Front desk service is very friendly and efficient.
We stayed here with our kids for a weekend while in town for a wedding, and we all had a very nice experience. Our beds were very comfortable, our rooms were clean, and the interior of the hotel in general was very clean. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, with bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, and other typical buffet foods. There was also a Starbucks on site and a room where we could get complimentary bottles of water, soda, tea, snacks, etc. whenever we wanted (I'm not sure if the room is for everyone; we are Titanium level, so could be because of that.) The only thing that we didn't like was the parking lot -- parts of it were not well lit. Regardless, we've decided that this is going to be where we stay from now on, when we are in town for a visit.
