Loved everything about this property, located perfectly within the center of Longyearbyen. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Our rooms were fantastic, spacious, and had everything we needed for a comfy stay. The breakfast served every morning was delicious, best hotel breakfast I’ve had in a while. The nearby pub and restaurant attached to the hotel was also a great place!
Honestly there’s nothing I can say that I didn’t like about this property. It was perfect.
Bien desayuno dentro de lo que cabe por ser un país nórdico
La calefacción no funcionaba bien y era todo un tema
I loved the views from my room. The hotel's location was very convenient: next to the airport shuttle stop, close to restaurants and shops, and one of the main stops for the tours.
The staff at the hotel were some of the best I’ve met. I forgot to ask for the name, but there was an amazing Brazilian lady at the front desk who wasn’t only super helpful and kind, but also cared about the details, such as setting up my start package and showing me how to use my shower.
Thanks for everything
The bathroom had a bit of a bad smell.
Great hospitality staff, especially the bartenders, breakfast staff and housekeeping. The breakfast was pretty good, and the location cannot be beat. From proximity to Mary-Ann's Vintergarden, the Svalbard Museum, the Husky Cafe and the main drag through town, this is the perfect location. Easy pick up for activities, and easy to walk through the town from here (bring your cleats). The bar had some of the best pizza I've ever had in Europe, and the Svalbard beers are all fantastic.
You have to bring a water vessel with you because the water isn't safe to drink. We think they should supply each room with a carafe or something that you can fill when you're out in the lobby. We had a small refillable coffee container that we constantly had to run back and forth to fill.
Zentrale Lage , tolles personal !
Staying at one of the northernmost full-service hotels in the world was a bucket-list experience! The rooms were surprisingly spacious and well-equipped with everything you need to stay cozy in the Arctic. I loved the location at the edge of town—it felt peaceful but still very accessible. A major highlight was visiting the northernmost pub in the world right downstairs, and the breakfast spread each morning was fantastic. A perfect base for a Svalbard adventure!
We stayed in the Junior Suite- be aware that these suites are located in an adjacent building. This made it quite difficult to manage luggage. The biggest issue for us was the drinking water. We were told that this meant we had to walk all the way back to the main building just to refill water. For a suite at this price point, having drinking water available in the room (or the building) should be a standard.
Apart from the location and the terrific pub onsite, what sets this place apart is the incredible staff who all go the extra mile.
It was pricey, but hey, it’s a remote place.
Tutto! É stato un soggiorno bellissimo! Posizione perfetta, struttura pulita e personale sempre a disposizione. Colazione perfetta! C’era un angolo gluten free con addirittura il tosta pane dedicato!
Everything. Cleanliness, location, staff, restaurant.
If a drinking water station can be organised in the second building that would be great!
We loved the location and the staff is amazing.
I had done my research prior to arriving. The hotel sent me an email regarding upgrading to a suite for $20.00. Luckily I always read most of the reviews on Booking.com. I had read the suites were annexed across from the hotel and there was no elevator. Most everyone agreed it was better to stay at the hotel. The food was very good in the restaurant and pub.
It's my theory that when you book through a third party at this hotel you get one of the older rooms. I never thought to mention when checking in that we hold premium status with Radisson. Our room was not great, it was very old and worn. Our TV didn't work the entire visit. We were told that there was a problem hotel wide and that it was difficult to fix. Since we spent Christmas there, I think there was less staff and a very light maintenance crew. In the evening the smell of sewage gas was quite strong in our room. Possibility since we were one floor below the reception. Seems the rooms above us had been renovated. We were there 5 days which in my experience generally gets you a nicer room. The bed was OK, however the pillows were flat. The food was expensive, which is understandable since everything needs to be shipped in. Since the one bus to the airport follows the flight schedule we asked for a late checkout. It would have cost $29.00, but since I was a premium Radisson member the fee was waived. That's when I realized I should have mentioned I was a member when we arrived. They should have asked at arrival, but I blame myself for mentioning it.
