Fabulous stay in the heart of Longyearbyen
Pros:

Amazing location right in the heart of Longyearbyen - you can easily walk everywhere; very friendly staff; comfortable beds; really great shower with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water; great bar on site with tasty pub food and creative local takes on classic cocktails; and the outdoor hot tubs were super nice - really relaxing after a day of exploring.

Absolute Empfehlung (jedoch kein eigener Flughafentransfer, wie beworben)
Pros:

Die Zimmer (Kategorie Superior) waren geräumig, die Betten sehr bequem (nicht zu hart und nicht zu weich). Fußbodenheizung im Bad. Frühstück war in Ordnung (kontinental), das Abendessen im Restaurant sensationell, wenn auch etwas teuer (aber das ist nun mal das normale Preisniveau auf Spitzbergen, wenn man Essen geht). Gleich angeschlossen beim Haupteingang hat man auch ein Pub, sodass man beim Abendessen auch eine größere Auswahl hat. Der Service war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage ist sehr gut, da ziemlich zentral (in der Nähe des Supermarktes, Startpunkt für Touren, etc..).

Cons:

- Mein größter Kritikpunkt ist, dass das Hotel einen Flughafentransfer bewirbt, den es aber gar nicht gibt (bis jetzt, 16.08.2026, steht diese Information noch in der Beschreibung). Man kann entweder per Taxi oder per Bus vom oder zum Flughafen fahren, aber das Hotel selbst bietet keinen eigenen Transfer an und nur das ist mit dieser Optionen gemeint. (Die Taxis sind oft ausgebucht, aber mit dem Bus geht das eigentlich ganz gut und auch schnell).
- Weiters hätte ich bei 4 Sterne erwartet, dass die Zimmer einen Safe haben.

An excellent adventure
Pros:

Fantastic location right at the bottom of the high street and within walking distance of everything. The hotel room is very comfortable with a shower and lots of hot water. The hotel recommends tap water ok to drink, but as a funny taste. Filtered water is available in reception to fill your water bottles. Excellent restaurant with fantastic views and a great pub inside the hotel complex. Fantastic pizza or beefburger and chips fish and chips washed down with a pint 😋 not cheap, but you are in Norway 😊.. The hotel will book excursions and taxis for you. Excellent all-around hotel .Tusen takk.😊

Pros:

Sehr sauberes Zimmer mit allem was man benötigt. Das Frühstücksbuffet mit großer Auswahl, alles frisch, es wird direkt aufgefüllt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Gepäckaufbewahrung bis zum Abflug war kein Problem.

Cons:

Die Ausstattung (alte Holzfenster) ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles funktionierte und war sehr sauber.

Ruined my short stay in. Longyearbyen .
Cons:

Reservation canceled as I tried to register. Rebooted to different hotel a mile out of down town. No tv , no charging ports , room 150 yard walk down a gravel road shoulder, room 21/2 stair flights up on my 74 year old arthritis knees. I'm not a happy camper.
