It was a great pleasure to stay there. The staff was very friendly, especially in the restaurant. Each guest was greeted

Cons:

The check in and check out hours. There are just few flights a day coming to Spitsbergen, it’s dangerous to walk outside because of the polar bears, so to leave the room 11 o’clock was rather early for the late midday flight. To wait few hours in the lobby to check in was a pity too.

Heerlijk hotel om Spitsbergen te verkennen
Pros:

Ontbijt heerlijk, restaurant ook (zelfde locatie), met prachtig uitzicht. Leuke pub erbij en eventueel kun je in de sauna. Die is wel wat gedateerd, maar fantastisch uitzicht ook weer. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel.

Cons:

Sauna wat netter en nieuwer. Kamers waren netjes maar ook gedateerd

Utseende bedrar, hotellet er bedre enn det ser ut til fra utsiden

Stort moderne rom (junior suite) med sofa og komfortabel stol, fint bad og minikjøleskap og kaffemaskin. Hyggelig betjening. God (men dyr) restaurant.

Cons:

Utsikten var ikke så bra, vi hadde rom i 1.etg., 2.etg er nok bedre. Ellers er det en uting at de har begynt med amerikansk tips-praksis med faste prosenter på betalingsterminalene i bar og restaurant. Ellers i Norge kan man selv taste inn tipsbeløp eller totalbeløp. Spesielt ille er det i restauranten hvor minimum er 10%, man kan velge “No tip”, men det er jo litt kjipt. Egentlig bør vi kanskje alle gjøre det, slik at praksisen endres.

Pros:

Das Hotel war sehr gut. Die Zimmer hatten alles, was man braucht. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.
Das Personal war absolut super, kompetent und freundlich.
Natürlich ist der Standard nicht so herausragend, wie bei Luxushotels auf Mallorca, aber man muss bedenken wo man sich befindet.
Absolut unschlagbar gut war das Frühstücksbuffet.

Bekvämt hotell i en fantastisk miljö.
Pros:

Sköna sängar, bra dusch, fantastisk utsikt från frukostrestaurangen, trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

Cons:

Det var ont om information - om manganet i dricksvattnet på Svalbard och om den extra frukosttimmen på helgen, till exempel. Rummet var ostädat när vi öppnade dörren - men det löste personalen blixtsnabbt. Gym saknades.
