Pros:

Really friendly, welcoming hosts. Great pool. In a fabulous area. I loved the dogs! We got to take them for a walk to the lake and a neighbour's dog joined us too! Tasty breakfast. Great laundry service-much needed! Our room was huge! Very opulent. We loved our day at Arenal bird observatory and lodge which was about 30 minutes away. Lots of good eating choices nearby and a small grocery shop. Was great to have a fridge in the room.

The hotel rooms are great with comfortable beds, the atmosphere of the whole place is restful with great views. In an easy location to get to.

Tolle Unterkunft mit grandioser Aussicht!

Been Twice Already, Can't Wait to Visit Again
Pros:

Located in cool mountains right on a paved road, it is a safe, beautiful, comfortable, and affordable stay. The beds are so soft and the themed room decor is well thought out. The pool is nice and there is plenty of comfortable seating and plenty of bird watching. The included breakfast was very delicious. There is also a wonderful restaurant right next door plus a couple more within walking distance. Also a convenience store close by. Long time proprietors Joanne and Simon are great hosts with lots of suggestions for neighbourhood activities.

Cons:

There was nothing we did not like. But the resort is cash only. Also, while the road is paved, it is windy and narrow. A little nerve-wracking when driving at night. Fortunately the resort is very easy to find using Google Maps or Waze.

Une étape reposante et salutaire
Pros:

Accueil chaleureux de Joanne et Simon.
Grande chambre avec un king size bed.
Vue sur la piscine et observation des oiseaux qui viennent très nombreux autour du gîte (Oropendolas, colibris...)
Bon petit déjeuner servi par Diana qui nous a servi de guide dans sa région. Bonjour à elle !

Cons:

La pluie, mais dans une région au climat humide, rien d'étonnant. C'est pour cela que la végétation est flamboyante.

Beautiful corner of the world
Pros:

We had a fantastic stay and loved our terrace overlooking the beautiful grounds. Such exotic plants all around. Simon was very welcoming and friendly. He recommended a great place to go to relax in the hot springs. There are two outstanding places to eat right on the doorstep. We loved the location, away from the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna. Also loved the dogs.

Cons:

Although it certainly wouldn’t put us off staying again, I think it may be useful for future guests if you mentioned that there is no hot water and you need to use the kettle which is kept under the sink. We felt embarrassed asking.

Toucan Lane is a relaxing place between the Rio Celeste area and La Fortuna.
Pros:

Simon and Joana were great hosts in that they always inquired if we needed anything. The hotel was well appointed and very relaxing.

Tolles kleines familiäres Hostel. Sehr nette Besitzer.

Sehr nette Besitzer! Haben tolle Tipps gegeben. Unglaublich feines Restaurant direkt nebenan. Grosse Dusche, sehr sauber. Kleiner schöner Pool. Viele Vögel zum beobachten. Kolibris, Tukane… Schöne Aussicht. Ruhige Lage. Sehr gutes grosses Bett!

Die Zimmer sind etwa altmodisch, aber in sehr gutem Zustand.
