Lovely room, quality fittings and decor
Great location & view from bedroom, great food & friendly welcome over our 4 day stay. Will be returning next Feb!
Food is quite expensive, but great menu and taste!
Location
The room isn’t just noisy from traffic the room shakes when large lorries go past. The hotel wasn’t busy so I could have been offered a less noisy room. The room had peeling paint & a blocked shower. The kitchen opened at 8am. I had places to be so that was too late for me. Good safe parking
Bar and restaurant decor very nice
Room very very tired. Pealing paint in bathroom, long commend that looked like they had been there ages. Staff abrupt and 40 min waiting time for breakfast when only 4 people in there. No continental selection and extra small portions on English breakfast.
No cleaning done in time we were there despite asking.
Great friendly and helpful staff. All of the team came across happy to work there which makes such a difference . We felt we were valued as customers.
Food was fa mastic and served quickly which was perfect.
Rooms and environment clean tidy
Some of the grout in between tiles was stained and could easily be cleaned . That and paint on the bathroom ceiling was flakey in places. That was the only down side as everything else was so well presented and clean. Seemed strange that these bits were left as they stood out.

Staff great, food fantastic, but cleanliness of room slightly in question! Scuff marks on bathroom floor, which when wiped with some tissues came off, so floor not cleaned 100%. When removing bed runner found a tissue under this!!!. Coffee cup in morning breakfast had lipstick on it, (this can happen as dishwashers can't always get this off), but when returned to staff gained the comment 'we don't charge for that!!!, silly comment as a short 'whoops sorry would be better'
That said it's way better than most and will be back again.

Situation perfect for what I needed. Excellent parking . Separate entrance and exit from the bar . Staff availability 24 hours a day .
The room was a bit tatty and not as clean as I would have expected. I would have liked some bottled water with the tea and coffee facilities.
