Loved the authentic feel and decor, the flowering bushes, birds and wildlife, the staff was really helpful. Close to a soda and within walking distance to town. Really pretty patio and walkways.

Desde la llegada la persona que nos recibió fue muy amable y cálida. Si bien nosotros íbamos muy claros de lo que queríamos hacer en Monteverde, nos entregaron mucha información y clara sobre el lugar, ubicación, dirección de las calles y actividades por hacer. El lugar es precioso y muy bien ambientado. Se nota preocupación por los pasajeros. Nos tocaron días muy fríos y se preocuparon de llevarnos más abrigo y hasta un calentador de ambiente. Muy recomendable.
A lovely hotel for the price paid in high season. Huge room, beautiful gardens and extremely helpful staff. Recommended. We loved it.
The location of this hotel is excellent, a short walk to the restaurants and shops in Santa Elena. It has lovely gardens which we sat out in when the sun did come out. Our own terrace to sit out on was also welcome but it was shady so too cold for evenings. The extra blankets were welcome however. The room was large and I really enjoyed the jacuzzi bath which I used on our last night. Breakfast was simple but good quality, typical Costa Rican. It does not have facilities of some hotels but the family feel made it feel under- rated somehow.
Unfortunately we arrived when Monteverde was getting some cooler, windier and wetter weather, therefore our room was cold at night and the wind very noisy so we did not get great nights sleep. Due to the thin roofing.

The hotel is located in a beautiful garden and it's a short walk into town.
We had the deluxe room. ( Reading other reviews i think it's best to opt for this room )
The room is ok and comfortable enough for a nights stay. For us the biggest issue was the noise. It's like sharing a room with your neighbours. You can hear them take a shower, use the toilet. And if you have kids staying next door, like we had, you can join in on the fun of them screaming and playing. Very light curtains. So you wake up at the crack of dawn. Or when the neighbours decide to take a shower.
I understand it's a older building. But as management i would decide to make it a adult/couples only place. And put up some darker curtains.

Water didn’t get warm in the shower
La habitación era muy amplia, de estilo colonial, y el colchón resultó cómodo. La ubicación es excelente, a pocos pasos del centro; además, justo al lado hay un par de restaurantes donde se come bien.
Nos encantó el entorno y la posibilidad de relajarnos en la terraza privada dentro del jardín (incluso vimos varios animales).
El segundo día de nuestra estancia comenzaron unas obras de jardinería justo al lado de nuestra habitación, lo que hizo imposible descansar o usar la terraza. Por suerte, las detuvieron después de comentarlo en recepción, pero fue una pequeña falta de planificación de parte de hotel...
El jacuzzi de nuestra habitación no funcionaba, aunque tampoco era algo muy importante.
Personalen var fantastisk och hjälpte oss med tips på olika utflykter 🤩 Super väl städat, god frukost, nära till stan, butiker och det mesta. Trädgården var väldigt fin och vi såg flera fåglar och djur. Skulle rekommendera vem som helst att stanna där och om vi åker tillbaka, kommer vi gärna och bor där igen.
