Elegant Lake Yala Safari House

Nos gustó todo de este hotel. Lo lleva una familia y su dueño Randy esta pendiente de todo. La habitación espectacular con todo detalle y una vista a los pajaritos y las ardillas, precioso. Nos llevo varias noches a cenar cerca con su tuk tuk y sin cobrar añadidos. Además, nos dió un paseo con su tuk tuk ensañandonos toda la zona. Sin duda el mejor hotel de toda Sri Lanka.
Nos prepraro las excursiones a lso safaris y los desplazamientos entre ciudades. No tuvimos que preocuparnos por nada.

Amazing host that makes you feel right at home! He gave us a tour around the area when we arrived, arranged a great safari for is in Yala where we saw 3 leopards, alongside all the other animals like elephants, buffaloes, crocodiles, etc.

Last day we got a great breakfast before we left with some other local gifts which was such a nice gesture. Overall we would 100% come back and recommend.

This place is run by a young family, and the owner has very humble beginnings and an inspiring story — do ask him how he started his own guesthouse!

100% would recommend. We stayed at multiple places around Sri Lanka, and this was by far the cleanest — and I mean squeaky clean. You could walk around the room barefoot without feeling like you needed to wash your feet immediately after 😆

They also provide free tuk-tuk service to and from restaurants nearby, which was such a thoughtful touch. It was a pity we were only there for one night. The takeaway breakfast prepared by his wife was absolutely delicious too.

All in all, it was such a wholesome experience. The family were genuinely warm and sincere. The place is simple, but it has all you need, and you could really feel the care they put into hosting their guests.

Todo. No puedo describir con palabras lo acogidos que nos hemos sentido. Está muy bien ubicado para hacer el safari de Yala, y se ofrecen a organizártelo todo desde el alojamiento. Además, está situado al lado de un lago precioso, con muchísimos tipos de pájaros, cocodrilos y otros muchos animales. El casero, Randy, nos hizo un tour en tuktuk cuando llegamos por los alrededores, explicándonos sobre la fauna, y sobre la cosecha de arroz que hay en los alrededores. La habitación preciosa en medio de la naturaleza, y todo tipo de detalles en cuanto a comida y aperitivos.

Il proprietario è stato eccezionale con noi, ci ha portato a fare un tour nei dintorni e insieme a sua moglie sono stati super disponibili

L’accueil de l’établissement est excellent, les propriétaires ont été très présents pour nous expliquer l’histoire de la région et disponibles pour échanger. Nous étions plongés au milieu de la nature à observer des animaux depuis notre chambre.
Encore merci pour tout, ce séjour était plus qu’agréable.

If you are looking for a luxury place, with 5 star hotel services and all that comes with it, this is not the place for you, BUT IF you are into warmth, kindness, comfort, personal connection and learning about the local surroundings THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. Randy (the host) and his family are amazing people who welcomed us with kindness and did the absolute best to make us feel at home and comfortable, creating a priceless personal connection. We were offered local tasty food and Randy guided us through the nearby area explaining a lot of things about local rice plantation, wildlife, plants and culture. It was overall my best stay in my 8 days trip in Sri Lanka, and my only regret was that it was only for 1 night. I highly recommend anyone to stay here for their trip to Yala.

Todo. La familia que lleva el hotel es maravillosa, hace todo lo posible para que te sientas en tu casa. Nos llevó a ver los alrededores, a comer y cenar con su tuk tuk, nos preparó una comida después del safari ( todo sin coste) y nos organizó el safari. Y lo que más nos impresionó es cuando nos llevó a ver la salida de todos los murciélagos despues del sunset, todos salieron a volar y el cielo se llenó de ellos, impresionante e inolvidable.
La habitación era muy cómoda, la cama, el lavabo con buen caudal de agua, que es complicado en este país. Los alrededores son preciosos. Un 10 para esta familia y el lugar. 100% recomendable. Gracias por esta experiencia.

Stanza molto carina ed accogliente, situata in mezzo al verde vicino al lago. Il proprietario e la sua famiglia ti accudiscono proprio come un membro del villaggio. La camera è spaziosa e luminosa grazie ad una splendida vetrata che da sul cortiletto interno. La posizione è ottima in quanto molto vicina al parco di Yala per un eventuale safari anche se il safari praticamente è già fuori casa, ma di questo ve ne parlerà il proprietario stesso. Super consigliato!

Randy è un host estremamente cortese e disponibile, una persona d’oro

The room is very clean and very comfortable. The owner is so heart warming, he took the time to show us around the lake and the village and gave us interesting insights. It is a good place if you want to stay for doing the Yala Safari but also to enjoy the views of the lake and relax. We wish we had stayed more time😊

This accomodation was mine and my partners favourite! The family are absolutely gorgeous so helpful and kind. We went on a lovely village tour. Breakfast was amazing. Couldn’t have had a better time!

Tout, Randy et sa famille sont sans aucun doute les meilleurs hôtes qu’on aient eu de tout notre voyage au Sri Lanka, Randy adore recevoir ses invités, il nous a fait visiter son village en tuk tuk, leur traditions, et nous a même emmené gentiment à une fête à quelques km ! Il a organisé le Safari pour nous.
Le petit déjeuner était excellent et les chambres très spacieuses et confortables

I proprietari sono stati super gentili e premurosi - ci ha fatto fare un breve tour dei dintorni per farci vedere gli animali e il giorno dopo ci hanno preparato il pranzo direttamente in struttura.
Abbiamo organizzato il safari a Yala direttamente con loro. Davvero consigliato!!

Lovely family. We had a great stay and Randy tries his hardest to give you the best time possible. The rooms are very clean and its located at a beautiful lake!

Una casa preciosa que convida a estar. L.amfitrió atent i servicial en tot moment i ens va rebre amb unes fruites i un suc.

El lugar, el hotel, la familia que lo gestiona... Todo!!!
Muchas gracias al propietario que nos llevó en su tuk tuk por el lago a ver animales y contarnos curiosidades, además por la tarde nos llevo a una fiesta típica a un pueblo a 22km de manera desinteresada solo por querer que conozcamos la cultura de aquí y a sus gentes.
Además nos organizo el safari por el Parque Nacional de Yala con un super guia .. todo genial de 10!!!
Lo recomiendo muchisimo
