Elegant Lake Yala Safari House

Fantastische locatie om te verblijven. Randy en zijn familie doen er alles aan om het verblijf tot een succes te maken.

Perfect and tender host, who helped in all questions, also provided good breakfasts,he even woke up before our safari to make our breakfast, packed it so safely and carefully. When we came after safari he gave us good excursion on his tuk tuk and aknowledged us about nearby village,lakes and birds. Thanks to Randiy and his wife

Randy was one of the best hosts we have ever encountered in our extensive travels. The rooms are lovely with views of the bird feeding stations, which Randy kept full of fruit. He took us on a tuk tuk ride in the afternoon which was one of the most interesting and amazing experiences! (I won't spoil it for others!). Cannot recommend this place enough.

Our stay here was so relaxing. The property is located in a calm and quiet neighbourhood that is definitely worth exploring. The host was incredibly accomodating, taking us for a guided tour in his tuktuk around town on our first night. He organised a very knowledgable and patient safari driver for our trip to Yala. He went and bought us local buffalo curd to try. The breakfast here was plentiful and delicious. We were able to do our laundry here. The feeder on the property was a huge highlight, attracting all sorts of amazing birds and animals for us to see.

A receção calorosa do Randi (dono do hotel), muito hospitaleiro, preparou tudo para o Safari, arranjou nos um profissional (Nishshanka) para nos levar ao Safari e que não foi explicando o que íamos vendo, vimos leopardos o que é raro acontecer, elefantes, macacos, búfalos, crocodilos, etc. foi um Safari muito completo
Por fim o Randi ainda nos fez uma tour pela sua vila, foi muito interessante e bonito

The cleanest and most delicately decorated homestay through out our trip in Sri Lanka! Everything in the room is sparkling clean…no dust even on the curtains! The bedsheets are handmade by the hostess with pattern sewed on the bedsheets and pillow cases. (My mum liked it so much she wants to buy a set herself😂). Because the room is well sealed with air conditioner. I don’t need to worry about mosquitoes as I am allergic to mosquito bites.

The host Randy is super attentive too. He knew that we haven’t had dinner and he offered to drive us to nearby restaurants with his Tuktuk. He offered us a ride around the lake the next morning to share with us the local culture and stories! (He showed us a plant with popping seed and it is really fun!) You can feel he treated his guests as his friends with warmth and kindness. We will stay here again if we visit Sri Lanka in future!

Wenn wir könnten, würden wir 20 Punkte geben. Randy und seine Familie sind sehr engagierte Gastgeber, bei denen man sich ab der ersten Minute bestens aufgehoben fühlt. Es gab Säfte, Früchte und Snacks sowohl zur Begrüßung als auch nach der Safari. Wir durften nach der Safari sogar noch duschen und unser Zimmer erst später verlassen. Die Umgebung ist sehr schön und wir bekamen eine interessante Führung von Randy, der sich mit Flora, Fauna und Lokaler Landwirtschaft auskennt. Außerdem wurde unsere Safari und unsere Weiterfahrt organisiert, wir könnten nicht zufriedener sein und wünschen der jungen Familie alles Gute.

Randy the owner was amazing! He took us on a free tuktuk tour around the lake and his village, showed us all the wildlife and flora. He was so proud of his hometown and just wanted to show us how beautiful it was. His wife cooked the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka - the Hoppers with chilli coconut sambal was soooo delicious.
The room was very clean with great airconditioning and very clean bathroom perfect for our 1 night stay in Yala.
Amazing location right in front of the lake which was so beautiful. Very easy access to Yala national park, Randy organised an amazing safari tour, our guide was so patient and informative. We were very lucky to spot 2 leopards on your safari and a tonne of other animals.
Safari lunch included was soooooo delicious.

Randi und seine Familie haben die ganz besondere Stärke, dass man sich so fühlt als sei man etwas ganz besonderes. Man fühlt sich zu 100% willkommen- eigentlich schon sehr familiär. :) Das hat den Abschied dementsprechend umso schwieriger gemacht.

Bei unserer Unterkunft wurden wir mit einem Shake, Früchten und Smoothie empfangen und durften erst einmal ankommen. Währenddem konnte man in dem wunderschönen Garten eine Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Vögel beobachten. :)
Mein Mann und ich haben mittags im Eingangsbereich Spiele gespielt und Randi hat uns kurz darauf große Gebäckstücke, Kaffee und Chips serviert (ohne etwas dafür zu verlangen)- an Hunger wird man dort also niemals leiden. :)
Nachmittags haben wir dann unsere eigene Mini-Safari von Randi bekommen und haben die Gegend und dementsprechend die Natur erkundet. Randi hat sich sicherlich circa 2 Stunden Zeit genommen und alles genau erklärt. :) Das war eine ganz besondere Erfahrung :)

Um abends etwas essen zu gehen durften wir uns den Roller umsonst ausleihen.

Randi hat uns außerdem noch viele seiner Gedanken zur Unterkunft erklärt und seine Zukunftspläne. Das war alles richtig schön und persönlich.

Wir haben auf jeden Fall vor noch einmal dort zu übernachten - sei es auch einfach nur, um die netten Menschen wiederzusehen ☺️

The location is fabulous, so peaceful opposite the lake, surrounded by wildlife, the host Randy and wife are the ultimate hosts, whatever you want or need they are on hand to make your stay unforgettable, Mr Randy knowledge is 2nd to none, his love of wildlife and nature is beautiful to see and watch, the safari he arranged for me delivered everything I had hoped for, Mr Randy picked the Safari guy and his knowledge was excellent, I will be returning in the not to distant future you arrive as a guest and leave as a family friend

Best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. Host Randy goes out of his way to make your stay memorable. The extra effort in hosting makes this place so special!

La gentillesse et l'amabilité de Randy et sa belle famille, l'emplacement idéal pour le safari et au milieu d'une nature à couper le souffle, nous recommandons sans hésitation cet établissement ! Randy nous a aussi conseillé un guide pour le safari, Nissanka, qui a été absolument fantastique ! C'était l'une des plus belles expériences de notre vie !

Alles was hier goed, super lieve mensen en mooie locatie. Ruime kamer en badkamer. Randy is een fantastische man. Kregen een toertje door zijn dorp waar hij veel over vertelde en heeft een Top safari geregeld.
Echt een aanrader!!!!!

Der Gastgeber war mega freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage am See sehr schön. Schade, dass es keinen Pool gibt. Sehr gutes Frühstück.

We had a wonderful stay! We wished we could have stayed longer. The room was very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect if you love animals and birds. The host was the kindest person we met so far. He even arranged a free safari around the lake. This was amazing.

Randy und seine Frau sind einfach unglaublich herzlich und gastfreundlich. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Er hat sich um jeden Wunsch - Safari, Essen, Fahrten in die Stadt direkt gekümmert und hat uns sogar im eigenen Auto zur nächsten Unterkunft an der Südküste gefahren. Abends hat er uns kostenlos die Gegend und einen weiteren Nationalpark gezeigt. Hier muss man übernachten wenn man zum Yala Nationalpark möchte.

Als ik het een 11 kon geven had in het gedaan! We kwamen 1,5 uur te vroeg aan voor inchecken, de eigenaar gaf ons een plekje om te relaxen. Hier kregen we meteen drinken en heerlijk te eten! Na ongeveer een uurtje konden we de kamer in. De eigenaar had ons uitgenodigd voor een tour met de tuktuk en dat volledig als cadeau. Het was prachtig en hij liet ons alle mooie plekjes zien. Een bijzonder lief stel en de kamers hebben we in heel Sri lanka nog niet zo mooi en schoon gehad! We hadden ook de safari en transfer door geregeld via het verblijf. Alles was tot in de puntjes geregeld. Een absolute aanrader!!!

¡Me gustó todo! El lugar es hermoso y las instalaciones son súper cómodas y muy limpias.
Lo que más quiero destacar es la excelente atención del dueño, es muy atento y amable. Él nos reservó el safari al Parque Yala, que estuvo increíble: vimos muchos animales ¡y hasta 3 leopardos!
