Elegant Lake Yala Safari House

In primis i proprietari , famiglia carinissima , gentili e sempre disponibili , poi la struttura bellissima di recente costruzione e immersa nel verde.

Our host was such a kind and welcoming person. He gave us a wonderful welcome and even took us on a mini safari around the village in the evening. We learned so much about the local history, heard many interesting stories, and saw lots of animals.

The next morning, before our early safari, he had already prepared a takeaway breakfast for us, which was a very thoughtful gesture.

Everything was amazing. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality! We wish you all the best and lots of success!

Tutto! La stanza affaccia su un meraviglioso giardino pieno di animali, il proprietario e la sua famiglia ci ha accolto come mai nessuno prima d’ora. Di una gentilezza ed una semplicità che difficilmente si trova in giro. Ci hanno dedicato tantissimo tempo e attenzioni per rendere questo soggiorno speciale ed indimenticabile.

Der Gastgeber war unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch die gesamte Hotelanlage ist wunderschön gelegen, grosszügig und modern eingerichtet.
Wir wurden zu Beginn mit erfrischenden Tüchern, Snacks und einem Getränk empfangen. Anschliessend folgte eine sehr spannende und kostenlose Führung durch die Gegend. Wir haben sehr viel über die Flora und Fauna, wie auch über Kultur und Geschichte erfahren. Vielen Dank für die wertvollen Eindrücke.
Auch die mitgebuchte Safari war hervorragend und wir haben sehr viele Tiere gesehen.

Fantastische locatie, ruime en comfortabele kamer, heerlijk bed, en een fantastische tuin. De eigenaar regelt alles tot op de puntjes! Hij gaf ons een schitterende vogel safari bij aankomst, regelde onze ‘next level’ safari (luipaarden, olifanten, krokodillen, herten, beer, jalhalzen, en teveel vogels om te noemen). We mochten laat uitchecken zodat we na de safari nog konden douchen. En last but not least - een lunch voordat we vertrokken, zonder kosten.

We hebben ons nog nooit zo welkom gevoeld als in dit hotel. De eigenaar is zo gastvrij. Hij vertelde met veel passie over zijn Sri Lanka en omgeving. Je voelt heel veel gedrevenheid en liefde van deze warme familie. De kamers zijn groot en netjes. De locatie is ideaal voor een safari in Yala Park. Ook dat werd uitstekend geregeld en we kregen een professionele parkranger die heel snel en veel dieren kon spotten. Enkele foto’s ( we zagen nog meer) werden bijgevoegd om te tonen welke dieren we hebben gezien op een 6-uren safari.

El hotel es especialmente bonito, tiene un diseño muy acogedor y vistas increíbles. Destacar el buen trabajo de Randy, una persona maravillosa que se ha preocupado de mi y mi familia en todo momento. Agradecerle también a su mujer el excelente trabajo que realizan. Muy satisfechos y agradecidos con todo lo que han hecho por nosotros durante la estancia. Muy pero que muy recomendable. Un 10.

Por otro lado, agradecerle al conductor Nissanka recomendado por Randy, el buen día que nos hizo pasar en el safari de Yala. Se preocupó por que viéramos todos los animales posibles, y destacar su buena conducción. Muy recomendable.

Se ocupa de todo, super atento. No se puede pedir mas. El lugar idílico.

Amazing Host Randi and his Family! Felt like home.

Randy y su esposa son encantadores y te facilitan todo: desayuno a horas intempestivas, recomendaciones de dónde comer, driver si lo necesitas, safari...

La habitación era espaciosa y cómoda.

Dit verblijf was een hoogtepunt van onze reis. De goede reviews spraken ons aan, en onze ervaring was alsnog boven verwachting. We zijn ongelofelijk verwend door Randy en zijn vrouw. Randy heeft ons twee keer meegenomen de stad in en allerlei hotspots laten zien. Het verblijf zit aan een prachtig meer, waar hij ons ook alles van de natuur heeft laten zien. Hij wist overal wat interessants over te vertellen.

Ze zijn ontzettend dankbaar en willen er alles aan doen om het verblijf voor de gasten zo fijn mogelijk te maken.
Ook hebben ze ontzettend lieve kindjes. Hun dochtertje heeft ons vaak aan het lachen gemaakt en is dol op de gasten.
Voor de safari heeft Randy ook alles geregeld. We werden opgehaald en terug afgezet bij het verblijf. Wij raden dit verblijf van harte aan!

Randy and his family were incredibly welcoming. The rooms were huge and spacious and clean. It was peaceful to just sit outside and enjoy the garden and watching all the birds. Randy goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and even taking you for little tours around the city and sharing its history.

We stayed at Elegant Lake House for one night while visiting Yala National Park for a safari. Looking back, one night was far too short because the stay exceeded all our expectations.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Randy and his mother. She greeted us with a plate of fresh pineapple, starfruit, chips, and a refreshing drink. Shortly afterwards, Randy took us on a complimentary tuk-tuk tour around the town, which even felt like a mini safari. We had never experienced this level of hospitality before—it truly made us feel at home.

The room is modern, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. The bed is large and very comfortable, the bathroom features a modern shower, and the air conditioning works perfectly. You can also choose between a lake view or a garden view. A lovely personal touch is that many of the furnishings, from the bed linens to the curtains, are handmade by Randy’s wife.

Since we had an early morning safari, we couldn’t enjoy the full breakfast, but Randy thoughtfully prepared a breakfast package along with bottled water for us to take on our trip.

In short, we highly recommend Elegant Lake House. Randy goes above and beyond to make sure his guests have an unforgettable stay, and his genuine kindness and hospitality are truly exceptional.

We sincerely hope to return to Sri Lanka one day, and when we do, we will definitely stay with Randy for a few more nights.

We originally booked 2 nights, but loved it so much that we extended our stay for one more night.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like coming home. The whole family is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely caring. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of for you.

The room was spotless, the hospitality was exceptional, and the garden is simply breathtaking, with a beautiful lake. Everything exceeded our expectations.

We also went on a safari in Yala, which Randy arranged perfectly for us. It was a wonderful experience, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing.

The host took us on multiple tours around the village to go birdwatching and tell us about the nature and culture of these area.

Thank you for making us feel like part of your beautiful family for a few days. We will never forget our stay and hope to come back one day. Highly recommended!

No podríamos haber elegido un sitio mejor para visitar Yala. Randy ha sido, sin duda, el mejor anfitrión que hemos tenido en todo Sri Lanka. Desde el primer momento nos hizo sentir como en casa.

Nos enseñó el pueblo, nos explicó la fauna y la historia de la zona y nos organizó un safari privado inolvidable, en el que tuvimos la suerte de ver un leopardo. Además, como soy celíaca, preparó un desayuno sin gluten para que pudiera llevármelo al safari, un detalle que agradecí muchísimo.

Al volver, su mujer nos preparó una comida casera riquísima. El alojamiento es precioso, muy limpio, luminoso y está muy bien cuidado.

Gracias, Randy y familia, por una estancia tan especial. ¡Volveríamos sin pensarlo!

Ha sido una experiencia increíble, empezando antes de mi llegada hasta mi salida. Randy es una persona como hay pocas. Empezó ayudándome a organizar el transfer para llegar a Yala e incluso para mi salida. Nada más llegar, un zumo de bienvenida y bizcocho. Luego cogió su tuk-tuk para dar una vuelta por la zona y enseñar el parque. Increíble. Y ya para terminar, un desayuno espectacular, que no he podido ni terminar. Seguramente si vuelvo a Sri Lanka a esa zona, me quedo ahí. Gracias Randy por todo.

Der Gastgeber Randy und seine Familie haben sich bestens um uns gekümmert und war sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Er hat uns am Tag der Ankunft im Ort die Natur und Umgebung gezeigt und sich viel Zeit genommen sowie uns sogar am Restaurant abgeholt als wir fertig waren. Eine Safari hat er ebenfalls für uns organisiert, insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden mit der sauberen und schönen Unterkunft. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen und haben am Ende sogar noch ein paar Edelsteine von seiner Frau geschenkt bekommen.
