Excellent budget Hotel Everest
Pros:

In a quiet location, but very close, even walking distance to the center, theater, and the Medieval fortress. The hotel check in can be done 24 hrs, if you announce your arrival. Payment can be made both by card and cash, when leaving. The rooms are clean, large, and very confortable. Very professional staff. The breakfast is an additional fixed charge, but very unexpensive, and tasty. Good coffee, served fast. I stayed here twice, and I will return. It is not the only place I stayed in Targu Mures, but for now, it is my place of choice, quality / price wise.

Im happy that still is oldschool Romanian hotel like this one!
Pros:

The room was very clean and quiet.
The ladies from reception were very kind and helpful.
But the most extraordinary was the restaurant manager who served the most delicious and the fastest food ever! You can see his 50 years experience in restaurant from the way we talks, prepares food and serves!
