It’s a classic Scottish Inn. Panelled Walls, Tartan, Fires, great food.
It’s exactly what we were looking for on our overnight winter stay, travelling north.
It’s brilliant, ever so slightly tired around the edges, and the food was exceptional.
Water pressure in shower wasn’t great (not complaining but needed to put something).
We and our dog were made to feel very welcome. We’d booked a Garden Room and that was perfect.
Nothing.
Excellent choice of breakfasts.
Dog friendly.
Plenty of walks and amenities nearby.
Nothing to add
Great staff and service. Really large penthouse rooms were nice and would have been great to relax for a few days with views of the mountains, we were unfortunately tired and just in a nights pitstop. Good breakfast and very nice staff for service as well.
No lifts, stairs all the way.
It’s a little far from any shops or town centres, which isn’t fair to complain about but make sure you have everything you need before you get there.
Lovely looking hotel in a beautiful village
All good
Friendly staff. The pork belly I had for dinner was exceptional. Such flavour. I would stay here again. I
Nothing
Breakfast was fantastic, the village is beautiful, the staff were pleasant. Inclusive toiletries are lovely, towels and bedding clean
Pain peeling from bathroom window cleanliness not as I’d expect for such a place, things like dusty bath, marks on roller blind in bathroom. Also the view from bathroom window was an outside wall of the building, literally a few inches from the window. Would have been better not to have the window. We just closed the blind
Everything to be honest, the room was wonderful and spacious. Bed was comfortable and loved the bath in the room (we stayed in a suite). As soon as we arrived Staff were friendly and helpful straight off the bat. Breakfast was nice and even offered our dog Rio a nice sausage treat, the lovely lady that served us breakfast was extremely pleasant and very attentive.
Nothing
The staff were wonderful and the receptionists very friendly. The restaurant was good, and the room was clean and comfortable, though it had a slightly musty, old-cottage feel. A lot of space for parking.Definitely recommend it for a one-night stay.
No lifts. Was extremely difficult to carry luggage.
Quite... great service ..good breakfast
Good for a pit spot on travels
Not much around it but you are 10min drive from Aviemore
Food was amazing
Bar closes at 10pm
Staff unfriendly
Also besser gleich reservieren!
Staff, location and food.
One small seat in room, when lobby was busy only place for us to sit and relax was the bed, could've done with couple of comfortable chairs in the room.
