We had a lovely time and were treated well, but I think the room was not in a fitting state for cost
Pros:

Staff were lovely and the hotel is very well positioned for all the local attractions.

Cons:

For the price we paid to have a suite, the room was in desperate need of an up date - the curtains were torn, the carpet needed replacing and we had to get the sink unblocked and the shower descaled for any decent amount of water. The rooms are not serviced during the stay beyond bins being emptied and coffee etc. being refilled.

A, lovely hotel in a beautiful setting.
Pros:

I found the Boat to be a very nice and relaxing venue, the staff were friendly and attentive, the food was delicious and large portions , my room was clean warm and comfortable , all in all I would definitely stay there again.

Cons:

No proper beer on at the time however the Pilsner and whisky were good.

Pros:

The staff were fantasric and very helpful. I booked in a rush, looking only at the distance from Inverness but when we arrived at the inn it exceeded my expectatio on location.

Cons:

I am a fairly small, light person so the firmness of the bed and the extra tickness of the pillows was very uncomfortable to the point of not being able to sleep. This only happens in hotels where the mattress is too firm and i cannot "sink in" so it is more like sleeping on a hard board. I know I am in the minority in size but if you could provide mattress slightly less firm it would make a good sleeping managable for people su h as myself. I would love to stay again but not sure if i could manage it with the current mattresses

The Boat Country Inn
Pros:

We had a wonderful experience. The manager, Jamie, was very pleasant, very attentive and made us feel like we were his favorite customers. The rest of the staff was always helpful and always smiling. The food was excellent and there were many choices. The service was everything we hoped for. The breakfast was great. The interior needs just a little love but, if you are looking for a place, off the beaten path and close to all of the Speyside distilleries then you should consider this place. We highly recommend.
