Bed was comfy
1st days breakfast was good and fresh cooked
I booked the hotel sent a message saying I was travelling will an old dog and needed carried up stairs so I needed a room with few stairs. I needed t
o carry him up to second floor which was very difficult as there are steep stairs and he's quite heavy.
We had dinner on first night there which was very small portions I ordered a wine and another when the meal.came the waitress came back to clarify it was a merlot but I never received it.
Breakfast on second day was only warm.

Charmant hôtel sur la rivière Spey, juste à côté de la jolie gare du Strathspey Railway (train historique). L’hôtel est un peu vieillot mais tout à fait confortable. Le personnel était très gentil et accommodant. Le petit-déjeuner était bien fourni et très bon.
La chambre était un peu petite, mais je crois qu’il s’agissait de la plus petite de l’hôtel et elle était tout de même assez confortable. La fenêtre n’était pas très bien isolée et on sentait un peu d’air froid qui tombait sur le lit, même si l’hôtel est bien chauffé. Ça reste un bon rapport qualité-prix.

Das Zimmer war groß und komfortabel. Hatte alles was man brauchte und gemütlich. Das Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Large room, comfortable bed
Room 101 above bar. If you wanted an early night you had no chance with the bass thumping in the music in bar. In fairness, it did stop just after 10.00pm.
Upgraded to a suite nearer to the stairs
The initial room we were put in. Dog room which was dirty and smelly as you'd expect a dog friendly room to be, but I didn't book that.

Lovely old country house hotel with very helpful staff
The room we were in had the chimney from the biomass boiler directly outside the window, which made leaving the window open an impossibility. I raised this with the staff, and we were moved to a very acceptable room for our second night. In my opinion the first room that we were in should not be used owing to fumes from the chimney.
Bed uncomfortable and mattress needs replacing.
