I booked the 100 Grand Suite at $250 a day in the off season. When I arrived the clerk told me to park around back and leave the keys to my car with him for the duration of the stay so they could move it when they needed. seemed odd. He then shows me my room which was under the hotel next to the laundry and employee smoking lounge. So to my surprise my room did not connect to the hotel, the access to my room was in the alley behind the hotel. To access the hotel I had to go down the alley and up a set of stairs I would suspect were built around the year 1899. The room being in the alley was interesting. with the room being butting up to the alley It was kind of loud with cars and people around 6am the delivery shows up to deliver to a business in the alley for about and hour and then the trash truck showed at around 7am. So I decided to get up and take a shower to start the day since I was already up because of all of the interuptions and the fact the bed was hard as a rock and the pillows flat as my grandmas pancakes. So to my discovery The Jacuzzi tub is the shower so I had climb over the wall to get in the tub. Mind You I am not a short man I am 6 feet tall. I get in the show I notice the drain is clogged and the tub is filling with water, so once the water got to my calves I ended my shower. So I make decision to end the stay after one night. No harm no foul. I make my way down the alley and up the stairs and around the block to the hotel entrance. The morning clerk is the highlight of the stay. Very professional and nice. I was told that yes I could get a refund for the next night it would not be a problem and the afternoon clerk would put the refund into the computer. I leave and begin the day anew headed for Springdale AR to restart the trip over. Then a few days passed I didn't see a refund on my card I called and a woman answered and told me that I was not getting a refund and they don't do refunds which leads us to this review page.
The rooms are quirky, unique. The building is historic and located right in the heart of things. Their voodoo lounge serves amazing drinks in a gorgeous New Orleans room bleeding purple and Mardi Gras vibes
The decor and art were very beautiful! The aesthetic look of the hotel was amazing. Rooms are extremely clean. The staff is very friendly and nice. The location is perfect for walking and exploring the sites. Will definitely be staying again!!!
I liked pretty much everything about the property.
We stayed New Years Eve and the hotel was totally booked. It was VERY quiet, even with the downstairs bar and a band in the lower level.
The staff were super great!
Was expensive, but all were during this time. No breakfast.
