Great location and atmosphere, very charming building. Great ocean views, fitting decor. Some of the staff were very nice and helpful.
Stuffy room. I found a viagra pill on the floor from a previous guest. Someone was banging around in a hallway bathroom directly below me from 3-5 am which I found really weird. I was exhausted the next day because of lack of sleep. If you stay here, perhaps the garden rooms outside the main house would be quieter.

Fire alarm went off at 4 in the morning nobody arrived to turn it off until 15 minutes later, all guests were outside not knowing what to do, I was answering the phone from concerned guests because no staff were there to answer it, and not even an apology or an explanation. Just very unprofessional and I thought for insurance reasons a member of staff should be on the property at all times.
The food was amazing. Location was perfect.
Unfortunately a fire alarm went off at around 4am. We thought it was a false alarm at first but noticed people were leaving their rooms to go outside. We joined them. We stood outside but it was 15-20 minutes before a staff member came along. The phone at reception was ringing so a lady who was staying in another room answered it. It was a resident in one of the lodges checking that everything was ok. She didnt know what to tell her because we didnt know at that time if there was a fire or not. I had originally thought there would be a staff member on the premises at all times but this wasnt the case. The alarm was eventually sorted. Not one staff member apologised the next morning, which I thought was extremely rude.
