Perfect location in the centre of Saint Emilion

Perfect location in the centre of St Emilion.

Cons:

We've been coming regularly for years because it used to be so good. However, the hotel is starting to look a bit tired - for instance the carpets in both our rooms have large patches where the colour has faded and need replacing. It is disappointing to see that they have failed to keep up with the standards offered by comparable hotels, in this price range.

Great stay in a charming hotel.
Pros:

Staff were great, excellent location in town. Parting is also very good and very secure. Some have commented that the rooms are on the pricey side but I think you have to consider the location which is exceptional.

Cons:

There is excellent soundproofing in the rooms overlooking the road outside. Unfortunately, during our stay the air conditioning wasn’t working fully, and it was unusually hot for April (around 27°C). As a result, we had to sleep with the window open, which was a bit noisy at times. However, we didn’t mention it to reception or ask to move rooms, so it wasn’t a major issue overall.
