We made the most of it. It was a special occasion. Below our expectations and overpriced for the poor maintenance and

It was spacious

Cons:

Main bedroom carpet had what looked like two big blood stains. The plugs kept tripping. The filter coffee machine did not work. There were two massive and I mean massive cockroaches in our bedroom in the morning when we woke up on the carpet by the side table that we only saw in n the morning. We were away for a special night away and so we didn’t want to argue or start complaining when we checked out but this is really unacceptable and for these reasons we wouldn’t want to come back. The breakfast money allocation that we paid for was R520 but the breakfast while it was nice didn’t cost anywhere near to that so I’d rather want to have breakfast as optional and decide where I want to go. The wine and beer was ridiculously overpriced and we cannot figure that either … I totally am willing to pay you a good mark up for a bottle of wine but really again not ok. I think a few maintenance things a better bed definitely the carpet and cockroaches is a serious red flag that hygiene is not a priority at the Raphael and for what we spent for one night it is not worth it at all.
