Good location in a nice town. Easy car parking on site. Free Wi-Fi. Evening staff were friendly.
Avoid Room 21. Paid for the best room, described by the hotel as "Indulgence".. It wasn't indulgence. Very strong bad smell in the room. Bedroom windows were open and we left them open all the time we were there, even overnight, but the smell did not go away. A member of staff told us they don't like that room because it always smells.
Disappointing breakfast. 3 variants of Egg Benedict on the breakfast menu, but unable to do poached eggs. Apparently, the kitchen had ran out of vinegar. They couldn't work out how to buy some from a local shop and we were told that the cook refused to do poached eggs without any vinegar. How difficult could it be for someone in the kitchen to realise they were running out? Or after they realised, to go and buy some? So, I had fried egg, and my wife had what were probably the worst discoloured scrambled eggs we have ever seen. So bad that she could not finish. Very poor.
It was a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. The personnel was very friendly and helpful
The family room was incredible for our family of four. We had a wonderful stay and got a great night sleep. The town is very cute with numerous shops and cafes. We enjoyed grabbing our morning run on the trailway, which was very well marked and maintained.
The restaurant and pub were both also wonderful. We grabbed a few beers before dinner and really enjoyed our time hanging out there. We booked a table for dinner with our hotel reservation, and were not disappointed. The children’s menu was a welcome touch. The food was very nice and the service was even better!
Breakfast in the restaurant was a perfect start to the day. There was lots of variety and everyone in our family was happy! My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict and my son ordered pancakes. This was in addition to the croissants, cereals and yogurts readily available.
This hotel was truly the perfect spot of us to rest and recharge!
Lo stile d arredamento antico
La stanza era un po’ fredda poco riscaldata
Sehr schönes, antikes Haus mit Originalaustattung. Sehr bequeme Betten. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt

Visited for dinner with friends. Food was delicious, however slightly on the pricier side for the portion size.
Service was ok, could have been more attentive clearing plates etc.
A 10% service charge was added to the bill but asked for this to be removed as we felt the service wasn’t as good as it could’ve been given prices of the meal.
Was great
Nothing
The staff were polite and helpful.
The hotel and my room and en suite bathroom were clean and tidy.
The bed was very comfortable.
There was a freeview flat screen TV which seemed to be fairly new.
At breakfast there was a good selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereals, continental and cooked breakfast.
I can recommend the cooked breakfast.
There is a bus shelter right next to the hotel.

Very comfortable
Poor WiFi
Staff were fantastic throughout our visit.Excellent location and free car parking. Accessible room huge and well equipped with a wet room. Air conditioning and lots of cupboard and drawer space. Great locally brewed beer.
Room walls quite thin, woke up several times thinking somebody was in the room. Lounge bar has a antiquated fussy theme and not particularly comfortable chairs being very low and saggy. Food definitely over priced and be aware of unclear service charges. Both dinner and breakfast items were unavailable early on in service. Excellent local restaurants are available within walking distance.
Booked a table earlier in the day for two , table was very well situated Staff were very pleasant and helpful and the meal waa exceptional and very enjoyable,
Good central location, OK pub food, but had to send back one meal as dish had gone completely cold by time it was brought to table. Room decor very nice and period.
Room very noisy and bed not very comfortable. You could hear every word of conversation on phone from person in adjoining room, and bed frame and mattress meant every movement of partner rocked / shook the bed. For this reason alone would not stay again.
