We stayed in the Church Suites on a Sunday night with my wife. The room itself was expensive (£330+) and we had booked it expecting a quiet, upscale boutique stay.
Instead, there was a loud party going on upstairs that carried on until around 1:40am. A large group of people kept arriving and piling in after a night out. There was no security and no staff on site at the suites to manage it. I contacted the main hotel and was told no one was available. I also emailed them and messaged them at the time to report the noise and the party, but nothing was done.
In the morning I raised it (I rarely complain). I was told I hadn’t used the right number to contact them and they took no accountability for what had happened. I later spoke to a manager and was told someone would come back to me — they never did.
Whatever the marketing says about exclusive suites, on this night it felt like a party hotel in Bowness. People were free to come and go with no oversight, and the noise made it impossible to sleep. For the price, that was unacceptable.
The bathroom facilities were great
The bed was uncomfortable, the bed was very loud and creaky, the main issue was the room temp was 31 degrees the air con system or the room controls were broken so we had to leave and stay somewhere else due to the temperature in the room and the bed

Location is perfect. The room was lovely and very clean. The bath tub was amazing!
No air conditioning. The floor heating was on and after switching off it was still hot for several hours. We went in spring but it was already too hot in the room. Wouldn’t go there in summer unless they install air conditioning
Location was brilliant! Right in the centre with plenty to do and see.
Less than 2 minute Walking distance from the front of the lake.

Was beautiful
We never had any hot water for a shower or to use the hot tub the whole time. We informed the staff who said there was other people using the hot water it was a joke.
