The location is great. The staff is nice.
The floors were scummy and sticky. The room did not have a pleasant smell. The building is falling apart. We spent only one night, as we could not stay due to the state of the property.
Staff is amazing. The accommodations are basic but very clean and comfortable. The location and ambiance are FAB and the hotel has so much great history and personality. Love having the beach right there and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea is a charming beach town just a few steps away.
I was disappointed the spa jets weren't working in the pool.
It was on the beach. Old Florida at its finest. Pool/spa was warm and relaxing. The property was picturesque with palm trees, amazing views, open airways, outdoor seating area with beautiful wrought iron table and chairs.

I liked our beachfront balcony room and staff....Everyone was so nice and helpful and the view of the ocean from our balcony was beautiful. I wld definitely go back!!!

The beach was nice and good location. Walking distance to everything.
When we got to the room, we pulled back the sheets and found live ants. The window a/c was so loud, it sounded like an airplane. They moved us to another room for 2 nights, but we had to go back to the original room our last night. The room was falling apart. Filthy couch and drapes, vertical blinds missing, laminate coming down under the kitchen cabinets.
Also, the small pool/hot tub was closed by the Health Department during our stay.
Ms. V was absolutely amazing! This place is a charming hidden gem that you simply have to experience. With fabulous beach access and spacious rooms, it’s a refreshing escape from the typical corporate hotels. And let’s not forget the stunning beach lounging area—it's the perfect spot to soak up the sun and relax!

Hot tub red tagged, rooms clean, but, strong odor of Marijuana. Pretty dingy, not well kept. Staff told us they were tearing it down, soon. Wouldn't go there!
Cozy
Right on the beach
It’s all about the location, which is directly on Fort Lauderdale Beach. Out suite room balcony overlooked the ocean, picture perfect.
The hotel could be very charming but everything is worn and outdated. A little sanding, painting, and we’ll needed repairs would make this hotel quite a sweet spot at Lauderdale By The Sea.
