The location was good for the shops and public transport.
The bed was not very comfortable, also the room was not cleaned very well, there was dust on a lot of the surfaces. There was no Wifi and the phone signal was non existent. The bathroom floor was hazardous when wet, as the water didn’t drain away well when showering, also there was lack of ventilation in the bathroom, which caused condensation in the bathroom itself and also the room adjacent to it.
Very friendly, good food, great location
The TV in my room wasn't working.
The pub is on the main high street in Stony Stratford, so convenient for all the shops, bars and restaurants. The room was perfect for 2 people (in twin beds), and the bathroom small but functional. The pub itself was charming and the staff were great. And it was a great price per night, so can't complain.
Our room was near the rear entrance to the kitchen so had noise from both the kitchen on one side and the patrons in the pub on the other (which went on until midnight, although we expected that as they're honest about it!) The downsides were that the windows into the room lacked any sort of privacy film, so we had to decide between having natural light and being exposed to passing people, or privacy but in the dark (and having to use the overhead lights). Please put some privacy film on the windows and door! The free wifi worked for my friend but not for me. Not sure why. But it is general free public wifi, so not great or secure.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
Tv didn’t work in first room so I had to be moved. Mattress a little soft for my liking. No indication they were touch lamps in second bedroom, so when they wouldn’t come on with the switches I had a go a find staff to help again.
Great value and location
Excellent old property, with friendly helpful staff. Brilliant accommodation.
Comfortable
Not much room to unpack
We just wanted a basic, clean, secure room to stay in whilst we attended an event nearby. This was exactly we got and staff were very friendly and helpful
Nothing to really dislike. Clean, no frills rooms.
It was very convenient to access
Had everything you could need
Newly decorated
Linens didn’t smell at all fresh
Shower spray goes over everything as no screen or curtain
Very reasonable price. Comfortable bed. Very good shower.
Room above bar.. Quite noisy on a Wednesday night. Maybe to be expected, staying in a pub. Hot water tap at sink in bathroom ran cold.
Well situated for Milton Keynes or Wolverton.
Rooms are spacious and comfy.
Great
Location and riendly staff
Location great. Good value and single room very clean and comfortable and well equipped.
One thing only. The smell from the shower room very unpleasant. Probably a macerator issue or drain problem.
Clean, tidy and confortable
Price was a bit steep
Was able to book a second night in the same room without any hassle. The room was located away from the main building, was spotlessly clean, bed was extremely comfortable, tea and coffee supplies were of good quality and the shower pressure was more than adequate compared to some other locations I've stayed. Very friendly staff and clientele, I visit once or twice a month on a Sunday evening for their open mic nights, the atmosphere is always superb and I'm always made to feel very welcome. You walk in as a stranger and leave as a friend, by far the best watering hole I've been in for a very long time.
Maybe a couple of USB ports would be very handy but it wasn't a massive issue.
