No the best
Pros:

Location superb for the Watercress Line

Cons:

Room was a bit dull, it was in the old part of the hotel, the ceramic wash basin was cracked the bath/shower head outlet was leaking when switched to shower, the toilet roll holder was falling off the wall, the "pop up plug" in the bath didn't pop up so I couldn't empty the bath water there was what I assume to be chewing gum deposit on the bed sheet, the room was very hot so has a fan which was full of dust, with the window open you seem to get fumes from passing traffic, the flooring was lifting in areas which could be a trip hazard

Uitstekende plek voor overnachting.

Prachtige plek, goed bereikbaar. Super vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk ontbijt. Kamer was ruim, badkamer ook ruim. Kamer was ook schoon.

Cons:

Het was er vrij warm en er was geen airco. Wel een kleine ventilator.

Martin's review
Pros:

The staff, location, room size, bed, and breakfast were all excellent.
I would recommend staying here during typical English weather conditions.

Cons:

The only thing that spoilt our stay was the lack of air conditioning in the bedroom.
We unfortunately stayed during the heatwave, the room was south facing, and had sash windows, which only opened about 6 inches.
The hotel staff provided a fan, but the room temperature was unbearable at +34° C all night, so we had little or no sleep.

Would stay again.
Pros:

With the bar and restaurant there is quite a bit going on and it felt like it had a good atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good. Room and bathroom were good with a decent nice shower.

Cons:

It was very hot in the room (heatwave) no Aircon but you kind of expect that. Staff were helpful and provided a second fan.

A good value break in a lovely location
Cons:

Stayed 3 nights in twin room with a friend. Wanted accommodation in Alresford which is a fabulous town with many independent shops and four pubs including the Swan. We were very happy with our accommodation and would recommend. Also a good base for Winchester as great bus service from there.
