Local to Popham airfield a big plus. Food & service good in the evening, room comfortable and clean, albeit a bit dated.

Cons:

There was a very strange smell in the lower section of the hotel..it smelt like sewerage! 😫 We were locked out of the restaurant until just gone 8am waiting for breakfast, it would be better served from 7.30am, its a good job it wasn't raining! I did tell the lady in charge that there was sick on the path when we went in for breakfast...it was still there an hour later when we parted. 😝

Just a short enjoyable stay, hope to stay longer next time

Pros:

Only used the room and no other facilities. There was a couple of issues which can happen anywhere but the staff were very helpful and addressed the issues very promptly.

Great location. Room in need of an update and food just not very good.

Great location for what we needed. The staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The room we stayed in unfortunately was quite run down, but it was clean and had what we needed for a short two night stay.
The food was not great, we had an evening meal and two breakfasts. The tea and coffee could quite easily be served fresh and not from flasks on a morning.

It’s old, needs refurbishing, peeling paint, musty smell in the bedroom. Knackered old curtains & furniture. Uncomfortable bed, run down bathroom, that needs retailing. All very neglected & overpriced for this reason.
