Very welcoming staff, great food, lovely atmosphere
Poorly flushing toilet in en suite
Too hot (I know they can't control the weather) but there was no attempt to cool the bar area amd the rooms were given 1 small fan that did nothing. The staff in the restaurant were inattentive completely forgetting some of our drinks had to go and ask for them. And the food looked impressive but the sausages for example were tasteless and chewy as if they had been cooked a few days earlier. I booked a room for 1 adult and 2 children and got a double bed and 1 single!
All the staff were very kind and helpful. A credit to the Wheatsheaf.
Nothing I can say I didn’t like
The room smelt like someone had shat on the carpet and there were bed bugs. Damp on the walls. The bathroom was so unhygienic- toothpaste from the last guest spat all over the tap and sink. The surfaces hadn't been cleaned
Good location
Room good do with some redecoration
A comfortable hotel close to the port for Southampton.
We had a neal in the pub and it was very nice & reasonably priced.
Rooms are quite basic but clean.
We had a room at the front if the hotel and the road can be a bit noisy as we had the windows open as the weather was very warm.
All good
Found the shower difficult to work. Ended up having a cold shower.
Staff, especially one lady at breakfast, were all lovely. Ease of all the facilities fine. The decor in our room, 11, was not good to appalling. Bath panel falling off etc. Was lovely having a giant bed though, and space for luggage etc. Was happy enough our room wasn’t serviced everyday, that’s fine.
Better decor in the room. Slightly. More varied evening menu would have been better.
Rooms a little tired but clean
Man sieht dem Gebäude das Alter an, was mir so gefiel. Insbesondere Das Restaurant hat einen besonderen Charme.
Great location...comfy big bed
Shower located over bath...not a fan of these. Food could have been better.
Food bed
No hot water
The bed was a super king not a double so that was a nice suprise. Great value for money. The staff were lovely.
The evening meal wasn't great however breakfast was really good.
Prima locatie om op doorreis te slapen met ruime parkeerplaats
Kamer was in heel matige staat, oud en matig schoon
