The Good: location, Lola was very friendly, helpful and always smiling

The Bad: bed is not comfortable, hot water takes forever, pool was very dirty and cold

The Ugly: we booked through Expedia which advertised free breakfast but the hotel wouldn’t honour it
Jenny was rude and very argumentative and seemed very unhappy to work-never smiles
She also failed to tell us at check in that the front door is locked at 11pm and we need a code to get in. We went out and didn’t come back until after midnight to find ourselves locked out!Thankfully some people were walking by that knew someone to give us the code to get in

We travel a lot and have never had such an unpleasant experience before. I would not recommend staying here!

I would not stay at this hotel at the moment extensive building work going on with drilling and banging every day. Apart from this great location and staff friendly.

We stayed 3 nights as part of a tour of 17 people. As we checked in, the front facade was being painted...drips left on tile all week. Quesionable timing...you have a large group checking in, and THIS is when you decide to paint? Check in process was fine. Offered a welcome drink in the bfast room for our tour orientation. Went to rooms. The pictures on line (if they haven;t been updated) show colorful pillows. These were all removed and piled in a storage area/renovation staging area, which appears to be the new Spa. Walked by this mess everyday. Note picture of current upkeep of the property. Crumbling concrete, hanging wires, missing awning pieces, wood stain and stair treads missing chunks of wood, and lack of deep cleaning. Breakfast was flacid and cold. Although there was a pool, not able to enjoy. Jack Hammers, concrete cutting, and constant construction, would you want to lay out and relax? I will compliment their snorkel gear ($6 to rent/day, good quality), location, and new sheets. No glasses in room, but water jug in reception area for water refills.

I stayed here as part of a tour group. Well located - adjacent to the harbor where many sea lions hang out. Staff at the hotel are very helpful. An inexpensive but very good lunch is available with outside seating. A variety of rooms available, some with balconies and hammocks. Note that there is no elevator to the second and third floor, but staff is willing to help transport luggage.

We stopped here for dinner and had the churros appetizer with coffee honey. The fried dough was not in a classic churros shape. We also had the veggies in coconut sauce, and this was very tasty.

This hotel was being renovated and we were not made aware of this: no access to gym - full of ladders. Very noisy. No curtains or hot water or even lukewarm. We were not expecting this. Room was not nice and steps to top floor where our room was were different levels and my husband and I are fit and agile but when carrying bags/suitcases we both tripped. Location is nice but we decided to move to a different hotel that wasn’t being renovated and had facilities we had been promised. Galápagos is beautiful and facilities are basic but to have been forewarned of the hotel issues would have been appreciated.

I truly don't understand all these positive reviews. This hotel is RUN DOWN and horrifically overpriced. Its dirty, worn out and these are just some of the most creative photo angles I've ever seen because everything they're showing is either a decade old or just plain misleading. Just don't. This place is a huge scam.

We got a great experience. The rooms are very clean and neat. The hotel staff is so kind and helpful that makes you feel at home. What's more, they are always ready to advice on what places to visit and where to get the necesario equipment and staff to walk, snorkel or dive. . The food at the hotel restaurant is delicious and the service is superb. We have had awesome vacation!!!

A big thankyou to Eric for all your help in suggesting a solution to my phone problem and then making it happen. With such wonderful hotel staff it’s makes the world a better place.

The location could not be better. The restaurant on the first floor had a magnificent view over the harbour. The bed was comfortable. I liked the hand-made breakfast with fresh fruit and juices, and variations on scrambled eggs with toast. Ask for extra butter.
